Analysis of single phase induction motor
Vícha, Adam ; Mišinger, Lukáš (referee) ; Mach, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor‘s thesis deals with construction, operation principle, connection method, winding and distribution of losses of induction motors focusing on single-phase induction motors. Two single-phase induction motors with an auxiliary phase and permanently connected capacitator are measured in the laboratory. Each motor is made of different electrotechnical sheets. Motors are subjected to analytical calculation and analyzed by finite element method. Influence of quality of magnetic circuit is researched. Results of analysis are compared to measured readings in the conclusion. Both motors are compared in terms of efficiency.
Effect of Manufacturing Variations of Permanent Magnets in Surface-Mounted Permanent Magnet Motors
Vícha, Adam ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Bárta, Jan (advisor)
Master’s thesis summs up issues of mounting pemanent magnets on rotor surface of permanent magnet synchronous machine. Literature reseach is divided in two parts. First one shows studies and experiments researching the impact of manufacturing tolerances of permanent magnets and wrong mounting on the rotor on cogging torque . The second part focus on analytical aproach of defining influence of permanent magnets on magnetic flux density in the air gap and phase induced voltage. Practical part focus on design of a prototype machine, wich will be used to research the impact of tolerances and imperfections. Parametric model of the prototype machine is created in Maxwell and is subjected to analysis via finite element method. Three different analysis were run, offset of permanent magnet, decrease and wrong dicertion of magnetization. At last the result of cogging torque and induced voltage are compared.
Impact of Surface-Mounted Permanent Magnets Imperfections on the Machine
Vícha, Adam
Study sums up issues of mounting permanent magnets onto rotor surface of permanent magnet synchronous machine. Fully parametric model of rotor with surface mounted permanent magnet was created. Model was subjected to analysis of offset of permanent magnet, wrong magnetization and manufacturing width tolerance. Fourier transformation was performed with the results to separate the imperfections via cogging torque and induced voltages.
