Design and verification of an inquiry-based task on the topic of acids and hydroxides for elementary school students

This thesis looks into inquiry-based learning in chemistry classes at elementary schools. The objective was to design an inquiry-oriented task that would achieve the compulsory outputs of the acids and bases topic while at the same time complying with the goals of inquiry-based science education. The thesis includes the definition of inquiry-based learning specifics, describes the exact course of the proposed task, and subsequently the results obtained by its realization are verified and assessed. To evaluate the task, several materials were used: the outputs created by the pupils during the activities, answers collected from the initial questionnaires, the final knowledge tests, and IMI (Intrinsic Motivation Inventory) questionnaires. Based on the student outputs, the fulfillment of the set learning objectives was assessed. The pupils' progress in the newly acquired theoretical knowledge was evaluated by comparing the relative frequency of correct and incorrect answers in the initial questionnaire and the final knowledge tests. For the IMI questionnaires, the medians of the selected values in every dimension were determined, and utilizing Cronbach's alpha the internal consistency of the test was verified. This thesis looks into inquiry-based learning in chemistry classes at elementary schools. The objective was to design an inquiry-oriented task on the topic of acids and bases which would comply with the goals of inquiry-based science education while at the same time achieving the compulsory outputs of this topic, as defined by The National Curriculum. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the characteristics of teaching chemistry in primary schools and the definition of inquiry-based learning specifics. The practical part firstly describes the exact course of the proposed task. Subsequently, the results obtained in cooperation with eighth-grade students are verified and assessed. To evaluate the task, several materials were used: the outputs created by the pupils during the activities, the initial and final knowledge tests, and IMI (Intrinsic Motivation Inventory) questionnaires which focus on the students' perception of the task. Based on the obtained data, the task was evaluated from several points of view. The implementation of the task successfully led students to learn about concepts related to the topic, as well as various methods of pH measurement. Copyright protection of computer programs

The topic of this rigorous thesis is Copyright legal protection of computer programs, whereas it contains a description of current regulation of this issue in European and Czech law and its evaluation. The thesis includes detailed analysis of the European Directive on the legal protection of computer programs and its particular provisions. Moreover the thesis is concerned with analysis of the Czech regulation of computer program protection and its comparison with the European regulation. The thesis addresses evolution of the Czech regulation and evaluates particular amendments of the Copyright Act. It also takes into account specifics of a computer program and aspires to analyse questions whose interpretation may be difficult in practice.
Socio-economic analysis and development possibilities of Kladno district focused on mikroregion Údolí Lidického potoka

This bachelor thesis deals with micro-region Mikroregion údolí Lidického potoka and its development possibilities. The theoretical part summarizes issues of regionalization and position of micro-regions in the regional structure of the Czech Republic. The whole area of Kladno district is analyzed from the socio-economic perspective, which is a region including the above mentioned micro-region. The results of analysis are focused on the municipalities which is the micro-region consisted of. Subsequently, these results are applied to the SWOT analysis. Its output and as well a contribution of this thesis are particular measures and development projects recommended to the Mikroregion údolí Lidického potoka for implementation.
The economic contribution of sports events to the development of tourism in Olomouc and Ústí nad Labem

This Bachelor thesis analyzes the importance of organizing urban runs Runczech.com (Ústí nad Labem 1/2 Marathon and Olomouc 1/2 Marathon) to increase the economic benefits of tourism in the cities of Olomouc and Ústí nad Labem and their regions. In the theoretical part, the emphasis is put on the explanation of related issues such as tourism, its economic importance, the relation between tourism and regional development and the organization of activities and events. The practical part describes the socio-economic analysis of the two regions Ústí nad Labem and Olomouc. It also shows the economic impact of runs in both cities, a survey analysis and an evaluation of the Runczech.com runs overall impact on the economy of the Czech republic. The goal is to assess whether the organization of urban runs has a positive impact on tourism and whether it contributes to the economy of the whole region.
The socioeconomic analysis of the town Jičín with emphasis on cultural an social life

The thesis is focuses on socioeconomic analysis of the town Jičín, with emphasis on cultural and social life in the town and on other potential possibilities of town development. The aim of this thesis is to define a potential of the artificial fairytale tradition, which is associated with the town, to catch its social and financial contribution to the town as well to the entrepreneurial subjects. The thesis analyses financial and non-monetary effects of cultural actions and suggests options of further development of cultural activities. The thesis finds out, that the man-made tradition of the town, as the town of fairytales brings Jičín and big local business entity mainly non -- monetary benefits in the form of higher social and ethical prestige. However, small businesses, especially those located where cultural events take place, benefit financially in a form of more customers and higher revenues. The thesis concludes that the realization of suggested development opportunities would utilise more of the fairytale potential of the town and would bring higher financial and non--monetary benefits.
Importance of Human Resources in the Regional Development of the Moravian-Silesian Region

The thesis deals with human resources and their importance in the regional development of the Czech Republic and uses the Moravian-Silesian region as the model example. The main aim of the work is to determine to what extent the employers in the Opava region are satisfied with the level of human resources. The emphasis is on education, motivation, performance and health of employees and job seekers. In order to compare the quality of human resources in the Moravian-Silesian region with other regions in the Czech Republic, an analysis of selected indicators in the period of 2003 -- 2012 was conducted. The analysis is supplemented by the scoring method for determining the ranking of the individual regions. The results of the analysis as well as the calculation from the scoring method clearly show that the values of indicators of development of regional development concerning the issue of human resources in the Moravian-Silesian region are significantly above average. On the other hand, assessment of questionnaires in the Opava region shows strong content of the employers with the quality of human resources in the region.
Education of the population as a factor of regional development in the Czech Republic

The master thesis concentrates on the problematics of the regional development in connection with the educational structure of the Czech Republic. The main goal of this working paper is to evaluate, whether the level of the education reached has an impact on the regional development. For purpose of the analysis, NUTS 3 regions of the Czech Republic have been used. The regional development has been defined with five economic indicators, namely GDP per capita, average monthly gross salary, long term unemployment, foreign direct investments and employment in the primary sector. Nowadays education on the university degree is gaining importance and that is why university degree of the working population has been set as independent variable. For the proof of the dependence between university degree and dependent economic indicators of regional development, linear regression analysis has been used. In order to analyze the development of the dependence in time, for each economic indicators regression analysis of two years has been compared.

KOZÁKOVÁ, Lucie. The evaluation of accredited projects on developement of the catchment area of municipality Vacov. Prague: Faculty of Economics, University of Economics, Prague, 2012. 40 pages. Bachelor thesis. This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of selected subsidy financed projects in municipality Vacov and thein impact on catchment area of municipality Vacov. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine whether implemented and Europian Union financed projects have had an influence on catchment area of municipality Vacov. In the first part, this thesis is focused on defining of basic theoretical and methodological concepts and thoeries dealing with catchment area definition followed by socioeconomical characteric of municipality. Second part of this is focused on implemented projects. It specifies selection kriteria of selection two projects, describes and analyzes them. The first project Reconstruction of medical care infrastructure in Vacov region was devided into three parts in ordet to simplify research -- doctor's offices, pharmacy and emergency service. Each of these parts has been explored by analysis of acquired data and by survey/inquiry. Through the implementation of these methods positive impact on the mucipality's catchment area has beeb demonstrated. As second project named Reconstruction of public spaces to multipurpose facility for human resources development has been selected. From comparison of analysed data results the fact, that this project does not fullfill its purpose and has no impact on the size on catchment area of municipality Vacov. The catchment area of municipality Vacov has been enlarged just in medical services area.
Development of the educational structure and regional competitiveness in selected regions of the Czech Republic

The thesis focuses on regional disparities and changes in the educational structure of the population in selected regions of the Czech Republic. The main objective of the thesis is to determine whether and how the educational structure affects the regional competitiveness. The growth of GDP, unemployment and the changes in the education structure from 2001 to 2010 are the main aspects of the thesis. The correlation coefficient has been calculated in order to support the relation between the educational structure of population and the economical competitiveness of regions. The correlation coefficient confirmed that the decrease of unemployment rate depends on the educational structure of population and rejected that the rise of GDP depends on the educational structure of the population.
