Šplíchalová, Barbora ; Slabá, Šárka (advisor) ; Tisová, Markéta (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of premature birth and the stress associated with it. Although health care in the field of obstetrics is improving, the incidence of preterm birth remains constant worldwide. Preterm birth is a serious perinatological problem and it is therefore important to continue to address this topic. In obstetrics, then, we must not forget the psychological issue, which is an integral part of this branch of medicine and plays an important role in it. Therefore, this thesis also focuses on the psychological part of the issue and discusses in detail the connection between stress and premature birth. The thesis is conceived as a theoretical-practical one. The theoretical part consists of an obstetric part and a psychological part. The obstetric part deals with the issue of premature birth. It deals with its causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and management. The psychological part deals with the problem of stress. It deals with types of stress, stressors, consequences of stress and describes the stages of the adaptation syndrome as well as psychological mechanisms of coping with stress. It then goes on to describe the psychological and obstetric issues, discussing the link between stress and preterm birth and describing the emotions that can be observed in women...

Oleksulinová, Eliška ; Jurigová, Gabriela (advisor) ; Tisová, Markéta (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to introduce basic facts about homeopathy, which is one of the most commonly used therapies among alternative treatments, and its use in obstetrics. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is an introduction to general homeopathy which is followed by an overview of the use of homeopathy during pregnancy, childbirth and during puerperium. Theoretical part focusing on homeopathy during pregnancy is divided into sections prezentant individual problems that may occur during this period, and describes the possibilities of homeopathic treatment. The subsequent part describes how homeopathy may help before childbirth and during childbirth. In the next chapter ways of possible uses of homeopathy during puerperium are outlined. The practical part of the thesis investigates opinios on the use of homeopathy in obstetrics by doctors and midwives who work at labor wards. A survey was made through an anonymous questionnaire. The analysis of the research data shows that the views on the use of homeopathy in obstetrics differ greatly between the midwife research group and the research group of doctors-obstetricians. It is clear from the research that the use of homeopathy in obstetrics is more supported by midwives then doctors. However,...
Psychosocial Problems in Pregnant Women : Anxiety and Fear during Pregnancy
Tisová, Markéta ; Mellanová, Alena (advisor) ; Marková, Eva (referee)
This theoretical and empirical work addresses experience with anxiety and fear during pregnancy of primiparae. In the theoretical part the pregnancy is defined. Physical, psychical and social changes are described as well as adjustment of women to pregnancy. Further on there are general characteristics of the concept of anxiety and fear with their demonstrations and results. In the next part there is the description of anxiety and fear in pregnancy, their reasons, possible demonstrations and results of anxiety and fear in pregnancy. The research project of my graduation work was focused at the detection of how far the primiparae experience fear and anxiety during pregnancy and what reasons and cause are indicated. We tried to find out if there are any correlations between fear and anxiety in pregnant women and if there is any possibility to estimate in advance which group of women would experience fear and anxiety more. We also tried to find out what helps the pregnant women to get rid of these fears and anxiety or how can these feelings be reduced and if there is any possibility to prevent these feelings. Next we wanted to know how the primiparae get the information about pregnancy and which information is considered most appropriate.
