This thesis presents an overview of the history, occurrence and claims for environmental and agricultural technologies in growing the type and contains of fruit substances. In addition, the literature review describes the laborious harvest, many species, but also a wide range of options for how to use the buckthorn. A part of the study was to compare returns from species (´Hergo´, ´Vitamínová´, ´Buchlovický´, ´Leicora´) and on this basis recommend the species, which are suitable for cultivation in Czech republic. Moreover external parameters were compared and the substances contained in the fruits of different species. This made it possible to compare the species with the highest and lowest solid, refractive solids, vitamin C, carotenoids and simultaneously fruits with the largest and smallest length, width and also with highest and lowest weight.

Charakteristika a možnosti využití rakytníku řešetlákového

Bachelor thesis is focused on options of cultivating and processing of fruits of sea-buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides), which is not fully appreciated even nowadays. It gives an overview of origins and spread, typical features and modes of reproduction. It further describes difficult harvest, characteristics of varieties, diseases and pests. Experimental part describes growing features of four varieties (Buchlovický 1, Hergo, Leicora, Vitamínová), which are situated in the research center of Mendeleum in Lednice. Subsequently varieties suitable for growing in the Czech Republic are recommended. Canned and other products were made of harvested fruits and evaluated by respondents. On the basis of the given score was found that the sea-buckthorn oil had the highest response of respondents and conversely, the sea-buckthorn fruit with garlic had the lowest response.
