Bank fees in Czech Republic

This thesis deals with bank fees in the Czech Republic, which has been a topical issue in recent years. The objective of this thesis is to analyse and compare bank fees in the Czech Republic. It also aims to evaluate selected bank fees in terms of their importance for generating profit for the banks as well as from the clients perspective. The introduction to the theoretical part describes the basic characteristics of the banking system. The thesis then presents bank products and services, bank fees and the bank fee policy. The work includes a survey and analysis of the banking market in term of banking institutions in the years 2007 to 2014. It also includes a financial analysis for the years 2007 to 2015 and an analysis of the banking market from the perspective of the client, which compares selected banking institutions on the basis of charges and selected banking products based on fees. It defines three sample groups for which the most suitable banking products and banking institutions are recommended. In conclusion, the results are formulated together with recommendations for banks and clients. For the client Student came out best a current account UniCredit Bank, U Konto for youngsters. The Active client is also recommended by UniCredit Bank with banking product of U Konto. For target group Pensioner is the most suitable banking institution mBank where the monthly cost is CZK 70. The client can save thousands of CZK per year by making the right choice.
Influence of low-cost banks on banking trade in the CR

The aim of the thesis is to analyse in what ways the entry of the low-cost banks in the banking market in the Czech Republic influenced the fee policy of the large banks. The intermediate aim of the thesis is to find the most appropriate bank for a particular client. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the situation and the development of the banking in the market economy, with the banking system, the financial market, the general overview and the bank products specification. Basic terms closely connected with the bank account are explained. In the practical part low-cost banks working in the Czech banking market are introduced. Here is where their basic market results are compared and the development of the clients number of the low-cost banks in the course of time is presented. In the analytical part the comparison of bank fees related to the use of the current account is shown on the examples of model clients (passive, average and active client) with the three largest banks in the banking market in the Czech Republic before the entry and after the entry of low-cost banks. Hereafter the fees between particular banks on the present conditions in the market are compared. From the analysis follows that the most suitable institution offering the considered services free are Fio Bank and Air Bank with the profile Passive Client and UniCredit Bank and Equa bank with the profiles Average and Active Client.
Comparison of bank accounts for students in the CR

This bachelor theses concerns the comparison of the bank accounts offered by the bank institutions, which are intended for students in the Czech Republic. The main object is to indentify, which of them is the best, according to specified criteria using the answers of the asked students. In the theoretical part are defined the terms relating to the topic of the bachelor thesis, as well as is described the development of the banking from its beginning, through the Bank system of the Czech Republic, to contemporary trends and offered products and services. The practical part is based on the survey, from which results arose four most used student accounts (ČS - FRESH účet, ČSOB - Studentské konto, KB - Konto G2.2, GE Money Bank - Genius Student), and furthermore were discovered importance of the criteria, which determine the choice of the account. Chosen accounts for students are analyzed according to each criteria, thus multi-criteria analysis, on which basis, the best product is chosen. Recommended account for students is Studentské konto from ČSOB, which offers basic services within the account management with minimal fees.
Inflation in the Czech Republic

The thesis aims to analyze the evolution of inflation in the Czech Republic over the past fifteen years and compare it with the values of inflation Visegrad Group countries, as countries with common characteristics. The research part describes and explains the concepts related to the topic that are necessary to understand the issue. The analytical part is dedicated to specific data on rates of inflation and other selected indicators in the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and the Slovak Republic. The conclusion summarizes the most important findings from the data is a solved problem. The average annual inflation rate in the Czech Republic in 2015 was 0,3 %. In the meantime monitored fifteen years the inflation rate ranged from 0,1% to 6,3%. In 2008 was recorded compared to the previous year, an increase of 3,5 p.p. To was due to the anti-inflationary effects that were let up from the impact of the economic crisis.
Financial analysis of the company BMS - SAND s. r. o.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to identify and analyse the financial situation of the selected company BMS SAND, s. r. o. through financial analysis and to propose measures for its future performance. The aim of the theoretical part is a description of problematic of a financial analysis and typologies of companies. The significant part of this thesis contains brief characteristics of the company BMS SAND, s. r. o. Subsequently, a horizontal analysis of assets and liabilities and profit and loss statement was applied. Then a vertical analysis of assets and liabilities has been done and an analysis of difference indicators, which includes the calculation of the net working capital. Financial analysis proceeds to the analysis of ratio indicators. There were also comprehensive evaluation indexes applied, using creditworthy and bankruptcy models. Based on the results of the financial analysis, it can be concluded that the enterprise BMS SAND, s. r. o. has not significant economic problems. A focus on the management of short-term debt in relation to the creditworthiness of customers, the optimal volume reduction of current assets, which are tied up, to make these resources gain greater benefits and a detailed analysis of the types of costs in order to determine their share creating sales opportunities and more effective management of these costs can be advised.
Development of Unemployment in the Czech Republic

The aim of the paper is to analyze the development and structure of unemployment in the Czech Republic over the last 10 years. An operational objective is to explain the concept of unemployment, reasons for its creation, consequences and social impact. The main objective is to study the situation in the Czech Republic between 2005 - 2014 and choose the region with the highest and the lowest rate of unemployment. The paper then deals with these two regions and according to the data from the Czech Statistical Office and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs compares their general level of unemployment and its structure in terms of gender, age, education and the demand and supply of jobs. The region with the lowest unemployment is the capital city of Prague and the highest unemployment region is the region of Usti. In the monitored period, both regions had the lowest overall unemployment rate in 2008, just before the economic crisis. After this year the situation in the Czech Republic deteriorated, and so unemployment also increased, which is visible in all areas of this research.
Analysis of mortagage credits on the market in the Czech Republic

The thesis deals with analysis of Czech mortgage market. Main goal of thesis is to compare the analysed mortgage products according to the most important criterias, followed by recommendation of the most suitable product in model situations. The theoretical part describes the relevant basic concepts, starting by clarifying the basic concepts around mortgage from applicants profiles up to the very process of mortgage acquiring. The results of questionnaires used in the second part of thesis have determined the criterias which are the most important for applicants while choosing the product and also which criterias are essential for other stakeholders - mortgage providers. The relevant questions from questionnaire were then used to define the model situation. The thesis also analyses the mortgage market in years 2000 - 2015, its development of products, interest rates and its share between providers. Specific banking institutions were chosen for comparison purposes - Hypoteční banka, Česká spořitelna, Komerční banka, Raiffeisenbank, UniCredit Bank and Sberbank. From each bank was chosen one product which corresponded to predetermined criterias. The individual products have got their information gathered from banks' pricelists, while individual mortgages were compared using the scoring method of multi-criteria decision analysis. Based on this method, the best product named Hypoteční úvěr Plus by Komerční banka was selected with an average fixed interest rate of 3,6 % p.a., but with very low charges from bank. The best mortgage product within the model situation was Hypotéka na bydlení KLASIK by Raiffeisenbank with fixed interest rate 2,19 % p.a. for 5 years with bank charges 128 832,- CZK at 264 instalments (22 years mortgage).
Pay Cards and Their Utilization in The Czech Republic

The goal of my bachelor work is the analysis of utilization of pay cards in the Czech Republic with the aim to identify the most advantageous product for a client. The partial goal of the work is general characterization of pay cards. The work is divided into two principal parts. The first part is a literary exploration of history and evolution of pay cards in the world and in the Czech Republic. In this part there is also a general characteristic of cards, definition of their types according to different criteria and options for their use. The second part deals with the task of analysing utilization of pay cards in the Czech Republic to eventually find the best product for predefined clientele. To attain this goal, questionnaires were distributed. Acquired data were transferred into graphs, tables and short commentaries. Lastly, the questionnaire outcome, from which was determined the target age group (age group 15-26 years) and specific orientation for the following comparison of chosen pay cards. We can conclude from this analysis, that for the age group 15-26 years is the most advantageous product the pay card form UniCredit Bank that belongs to U konto pro mladé. This pay card allows unlimited withdrawals from ATMs in the whole Czech Republic and in foreign countries for free. Moreover, this debit card is designed for all young people between 15-26, because you do not need to produce student´s certificate, as required by other banks.
Bank loans in the segment of individuals and legal entities

The main objective of this thesis is to evaluate the benefits of bank loans to selected banks in terms of profitability for the client in the segment of ndividuals and legal entities. Diploma thesis in the literature review describes the essence of the banking system in the Czech Republic, the basic concepts associated with the lending activity of banks, types of loans, their classification and rating system for the client's creditworthiness. Marginally they are also described alternative forms of financing. Analytical part contains a selection of specific banking institutions - Česká spořitelna, a.s., Komerční banka, a.s. and Československá obchodní banka, a.s. It also examines the selected products offered to natural and legal persons in terms of profitability for the client and describes their characteristics. Readers also describes the concrete steps of the lending process. Based on the analysis of the product portfolio was selected banking entities in each product group evaluated with the assistance of the points system the best. The analysis shows that the most advantageous credit terms provided by Komerční banka. The only exceptions are overdraft loans to individuals, which provide favorable conditions other banks analyzed and credit cards for individual person, where the best offer Československá obchodní banka,a.s.
Development of prices of milk and selected milk products in the CR

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is analysis and appreciation of price development of milk and selected dairy products. The theoretical part of this thesis creates a overview of system of production, trade and consumption of milk in the Czech republic. The practical part is focused on price development of selected milk products in selected retail stores. Practical part also includes a comparison between three retail stores. Butter shows the most dynamic price development of all of the selected products.On the contrary the prices of fat-reduced cottage cheese and plain yoghurt stagnated. Supermarket Kaufland was evaluated as the retail shop with lowest prices for costumers.
