Comparing Prices in Internet Shops
Koukola, Daniel ; Spousta, Miroslav (advisor) ; Semecký, Jiří (referee)
This work deals with problems of comparison shopping engines. It focuses on methods for automatic data extraction from web pages and methods for classification of the extracted data. Several algorithms for solving these problems are proposed and implemented. Also a new algorithm for automatic data extraction based on supervised machine learning techniques is proposed. Implemented methods are evaluated on a test data set and suitable parameters for the tested algorithms are found.
Rychlý a trénovatelný tokenizér pro přirozené jazyky
Maršík, Jiří ; Bojar, Ondřej (advisor) ; Spousta, Miroslav (referee)
In this thesis, we present a data-driven system for disambiguating token and sentence boundaries. The implemented system is highly configurable and versatile to the point its tokenization abilities allow to segment unbroken Chinese text. The tokenizer relies on maximum entropy classifiers and requires a sample of tokenized and segmented text as training data. The program is accompanied by a tool for reporting the performance of the tokenization which helps to rapidly develop and tune the tokenization process. The system was built with multi-platform libraries only and with emphasis on speed and correctness. After a necessary survey of other tools for text tokenization and segmentation and a short introduction to maximum entropy modelling, a large part of the thesis focuses on the particular implementation we developed and its evaluation.
SNMP trap replayer
Kačmarik, František ; Kolovratník, David (advisor) ; Spousta, Miroslav (referee)
The bachelor's thesis is a continuation of an Academic Year Project named SNMP Trap replayer. Its goal has been to develop software that is able to catch and replay notifications thru SNMP protocol, a user interface for administering and creating these notifications. The bachelor's thesis contains an evaluation of achieved goals (such as event representation, ability to replay them), opportunities for improvement as well as practical applications of this program in regard of testing management software for handling incoming events. It includes test cases for testing of non-standard situations that occur on a monitored hardware making it easier to test management software. The bachelor's thesis also includes a specification of fundamental principles and the most important parts of used and follow-up application protocols.
Information system of a language school
Kunčar, Jiří ; Spousta, Miroslav (advisor) ; Bejček, Eduard (referee)
The goal of the thesis is to design and implement a modular information system for a company particularly involved in teaching of foreign languages, interpreting and translating. The work includes analysis of business processes and solves problems in the design of the database scheme. The main parts of the system include modules for course records, users administration and the creation of accounting documents. The system is implemented with the help of technology PHP and framework CakePHP using the MySQL database to store structured data. The thesis analysed the bene ts of frameworks in the development of web applications and the potential usage of existing content management systems.
Cryptography and Its Application in Secure Data-File Transfer
Pop, Tomáš ; Spoustová, Johanka (advisor) ; Spousta, Miroslav (referee)
In the present work we study applied cryptography. . . The goal of this work is not to study algorithms from the mathematical or statistical view, instead we are trying to look at cryptography from a poin of view of the "end consumer or "programmmer. It should help the reader to find an appropriate algorithm for his program. The application on the end of the work is written to as readable as possible.
Branch text classification
Čech, Josef ; Raab, Jan (advisor) ; Spousta, Miroslav (referee)
This thesis follows up text categorization. In the first part are described several chosen algorithms for a categorization of documents - the Bayesian model, a categorization with a neural networks and a vector model. Practice part is focused on a algorithm vector model. The vector model is based on idea of two vectors. One vector represents a pattern and second a query. In our case first vector corresponds with a category and the second one with the document. Coordinates of the vector are weights of single words in the text or in the branch depends on, which vector we think about. For comparing are possible to use several procedures like Dice coefficient similarity, Jaccard coefficient or cosine similarity. In my thesis is used cosine similarity. Computing weights is based on frequency of the term in the document and on frequency of documents, which contain the term. Relevant terms are selected on Luhn simple ideas of significance words.
Scrabble Comparison
Brus, Tomáš ; Bojar, Ondřej (advisor) ; Spousta, Miroslav (referee)
The goal of this work was to implement several algorithms for the Scrabble game and compare their efficiency empirically. Efficiency of an algorithm has to depend on played score, but also on computational efficiency. Computational efficiency is measured in convenient abstract units (number of requests about scoring of planned move etc.) and also in simple computational time. There will be generated a series of fixed configurations on order to compare algorithms equally.
Multiplatform build system
Kouřil, Přemysl ; Spousta, Miroslav (advisor) ; Raab, Jan (referee)
Build system is an important part of software projects and almost all processes involved in software development are more or less connected to a build system. A complexity of a build system increases accrodingly to a complexity of a software project. The goal of this thesis is to introduce a proposal for a build system suitable for use in highly multiplatform projects and adapted to a specific needs of software developed in enterprise environment. This thesis first defines context and provides an overview on the topic and then analyzes theoretical aspects of key problems. Brief analysis of build tools is included in this thesis. Based on a comparison of available technologies and analysis of key problems a build system proposal is introduced for the specific class of software projects. SCons tool is used as a core of proposed build system. Thesis shall provide a developer with an apparatus strong enough so that developer is able to implement a build system that satisfies all key attributes which determine good build system.
Automatic Tool for Obtaining Data for TV Programs
Černý, Michal ; Raab, Jan (advisor) ; Spousta, Miroslav (referee)
Main goal of this work is to create reference guide to system ATOD TV that I have developed in Java language as a part of the bachelor thesis. ATOD TV editors are used in particular to simplify the work in the production of television programs for various clients. The system contains components to facilitate the work of obtaining data and data processing in a single form. At the end of the system is presented in the case of data processing for one station.
