Mešina, Matej ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (referee) ; Slažanský, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis strives to evaluate the dynamic analysis of firing mechanisms of different types of firearms. In the present research is analyzed the matter of firearms and ammunitions, followed by the description of distribution of firearm mechanisms, as well as the detailed scrutiny of the initiation mechanism. The thesis also marginally explores the testing of primers. The last part of the research documents the possible solutions for the analyzed issues. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the geometry of firing mechanisms, followed by the description of the physical principles, which are relevant to this matter. Based on the analysis, a theoretical calculation of the initiation energies for all of the analyzed types of firearms is established. Lastly, the calculation of the initiation energy is calculated, and the security in secure firing of the bullet's primer is determined.
Computer simulations of biaxial tension tests of soft biological tissues
Slažanský, Martin ; Návrat, Tomáš (referee) ; Polzer, Stanislav (advisor)
Within the master thesis a computational model of biaxial tension test of soft biological tissues was developed. The tested specimen can be attached using clamps or hooks. The number and the size of clamps and hooks have a significant impact on the distribution of stress and strain in the centre of the specimen, where deformation is measured. Using the developed computational model, a sensitivity analysis of number and size of clamps and hooks and a sensitivity analysis of placement of clamps was elaborated. The number and size of clamps and hooks were optimized in such a way that the material’s parameters obtained by the tension test correspond to the utmost to the actual parameters of the material. By analyzing the placement of clamps, the influence of selected deviations on the outcome of the tension test was determined. Finally, a plan of the next course of action has been proposed.

The thesis deals with inference of analytic relations for calculation of pressure helical coil spring and considerates usage possibilities of simplified relations. In the thesis there is introduced analytic computation of slightly curvatured rod theory completed by finite element method calculations. The thesis describes two springs of firearm, which weren’t able to achieve required functionality. After this there was created a plan of concept particular spring on the base of derivated relations, which should be able to meet operative conditions.

Úlehlová, Eva ; Slažanský, Martin (referee) ; Harčarík, Matej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the conformity assessment procedure of a hammer with its specification. The work is focused on a revolver hammer and was developed in cooperation with a company producing revolvers. In addition to describing and analyzing the hammer’s specification and conformity assessment procedure, the aim of the work was also to propose improvements. The theoretical part deals with the principles for prescribing the required product geometry on technical drawings. The output of the thesis is a proposal to improve the specification and a proposal to modify the conformity assessment procedure.
Definition of principal material directions in the abdominal aortic aneurysms
Bartoňová, Petra ; Slažanský, Martin (referee) ; Polzer, Stanislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with definitions of principal material directions in idealized geometrical models. The theoretical part is particularly focused on general information of vascular system and abdominal aortic aneurysms in the field of anatomy, histology and surgery, afterwards it is concentrated on the biomechanical point of view. Consequently, the created algorithm is described and used to compare different definitions of principal directions considering the maximum principal stress. In conclusion, the results of FEM analyses are evaluated with respect to further study of this issue.
Stress-Strain Analysis of Shotgun Barells
Běhal, Josef ; Majer, Zdeněk (referee) ; Slažanský, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with stress-strain analysis of the shotgun barells. Gun was designed by company Česká zbrojovka a.s. Thesis contains an introduction to the functionality of weapons folowed by chapter dealing with shot from small shot shotgun. Stress-strain analysis was performed by finite element method. The final section shows the evaluation of achieved results.
Stress-Strain Calculations of Selected Components of Firearm
Pavlík, Ondřej ; Ševeček, Oldřich (referee) ; Slažanský, Martin (advisor)
Thesis deals with the utilization of the finite element method (FEM) in development of computational model. Subject of the computational model is the slide stop pin of the pistol CZ 75, designed and manufactured in Czech Republic by Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod. The computational model describes strain stress analysis of the slide stop pin. The results of the analysis are subject to difficult sourcing of relevant and reliable input information. Based on stress strain analysis results, the safety factor of the pin was determined. However, the results are influenced a lot by input parameters selection. At the conclusion the summary of proposed further steps for computational model accuracy increase is proposed.
ANALYSIS OF IMPACT OF EXPERIMENT REALISATION ON MECHANICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF BIOMATERIALS
