Amine-functionalized Porous Polymers for Selective CO2 Adsorption.
Setničková, Kateřina ; Jeřábek, Karel ; Strašák, Tomáš ; Soukup, Karel
Porous materials have always attracted high scientific interest because of their outstanding performance and potential applications in various fields, including adsorption and gas separation. Hyper-crosslinked polymers (HCLPs) have several advantages over other porous materials, they show extremely high surface areas and porosity, low density, outstanding adsorption properties, high chemical, and thermal stability.\nHerein, we reported a synthesis, characterization, and the CO2 (and other gases) adsorption performance of series of novel styrene-divinylbenzene based HCPs. The material was prepared in two steps. The first step involved the radical copolymerization of divinylbenzene (DVB) and 4-vinylbenzyl chloride (VBC), under solvothermal condition to generate porous polymers with high surface area above 700 m2 g−1. In the second step, various polyamine species were applied to react with the alkyl chloride groups and functionalize the pore surface\nto improve the CO2/N2, CO2/CH4 and CO2/H2 selectivity.

The amateur theatre as a cultural phenomenon in Bystřice region after 1945
Setničková, Kateřina ; Mücke, Pavel (advisor) ; Houda, Přemysl (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the history of amateur associations in the Bystřice region from 1945 to the present. I tried to put the phenomenon of amateur theater into a broader context in order to bring the amateur scene as a whole closer. I have divided the work into several chapters that cover the legislative framework of amateur theater and its history from its beginnings to the present day. In the individual subchapters, I focus on the village of Bystřice, the history of the local amateur theater, important and exceptional personalities of Bystřice and I also deal with the current situation. Factually, I also summarize the history of amateur theater in the Benešov district as the superior administrative unit of the municipality of Bystřice. The work is based on the method of oral history, study of specialist literature and archival sources. The aim of the thesis is to present amateur theater as a whole, its importance in individual historical stages and its contribution to society. Key words: Amateur theatre, Bystřice, Ludvík Němec, theater shows, oral history

In this work we have focused on the surface treatment and activation of membranes (73 AC and 82 V) with plasma discharge and determination of their physicochemical properties. The surface morphology, wettability, zeta potential of pristine and plasma- treated membranes were tested and compared.
Novel CO2-Selective Blend Membranes Based on Polyvinylalcohol (PVA) and 1-Ethyl-3-Methylimidazolium Dicyanamide ([emim][dca]) Ionic Liquid for Effective CO2/H2 Separation.
Setničková, Kateřina ; Lanč, M. ; Klepič, M. ; Friess, K. ; Izák, Pavel
This study confirms the positive effect of ionic liquid content in neat polymer on mix gas (CO2/H2) separation. The sorption of CO2 increases with increasing content of [emim][dca] in PVA polymer membranes. The sorption of H2 was negligible in all measured membranes even with highest content of [emim][dca] in PVA. All single gas permeation experiments clearly show increasing permeability of CO2 and H2 with increasing content of ionic liquid in studied polymer. During separation of both gasses, the solution diffusion mechanism is applied. Based on these results we can state that with higher content of [emim][dca] in PVA permeability of both gasses and also ideal selectivity increases. This observation shows a potential of IL where is higher sorption of CO2 than in polymer as good separation medium for CO2/H2 separation.

Semi-Empirical Model of Toluene Transport in Polyethylene Membrane Based on the Data of New Type of Apparatus for Gas Permeability, Diffusivity and Solubility
Setničková, Kateřina ; Wagner, Zdeněk ; Noble, R.D. ; Uchytil, Petr
Solubility, diffusivity and permeability of toluene vapors in a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) membrane were measured using new type of permeation apparatus. The simple semi-empirical model of toluene transport in a polyethylene membrane based on relation between experimentally obtained effective diffusion coefficients and concentration dependent diffusion coefficients evaluated from experiments on new permeation apparatus was proposed.
