Schwabová, Tereza ; Brožová, Věra (advisor) ; Petrbok, Václav (referee)
Morally educational stories of M. D. Rettigová and Marie Antonie as a part of czech biedermeier culture. This thesis researches educational literary output of 2 eminent authors, Magdalena Dobromila Rettigova and nun Marie Antonie (civil name Josefa Pedalova). Both of them are considered to be first czech patriotic female authors, despite the fact that Marie Antonie's name (writing under a pseudonym of Dobrovlastka) was almost erased from history of czech literature because of the strong catholic orientation in her writings. Their works are focusing on upbringing of period girl and with tendency to sentimentalism they are representing one of the most important artistic aspect of newly forming czech biedermeier.
