The first chapter explains the concept ThermoWood, the second chapter focuses on wood modification, the third chapter deals with the properties of wood ThermoWood. The fourth chapter shows the impact on the environment ThermoWood. The fifth chapter focuses on the analysis of literary knowledge, chapter sixth chapter is devoted to the analysis of the use of paints in practice. The penultimate seventh chapter is dedicated to new trends in this area and the last eighth chapter shows the graphs of the Finnish ThermoWood companies that are focused on production statistics.
CNC centres for machining technology of thermally modified wood

This bachelor work offers a comprehensive overview of topics concerning CNC machine tools and machining thermally modified wood. The main objective of the work is familiarization with new trends in the timbering industry, among which CNC machines and thermally modified wood belong. The work is divided chronologically covering historical progress as well as development of NC and CNC machines, basic terminology, the working conditions and workplace with installed CNC machines up to the construction. It also addresses inclusion of CNC machines into the hierarchy of the company, technological preparation of production, and the working area of the machine. In the next section this bachelor work combines the use of thermally modified wood for CNC machining. This work solves especially the development and production of thermally modified wood and its machining.
Milling process analysis of thermally modified wood

The work is focused on the characteristics of the milling process of thermally modified wood as a new type of material with an innovative internal structure achieved by heat and humidity treatment. The work is divided into three parts. The first part focuses on the theoretical summary of the method of milling and a brief analysis of various types of the process. The second part specializes in description of thermally modified wood as the new technical material. The final part deals with the influence of properties of "thermowood" on milling process.

Qualification level: Ing. The topic of this masters thesis is the optimisation of a timber producing facility. The aim of the thesis is to design an optimal solution within the genuine production environment. The present state of the facility is described in the first part of the thesis focusing on the main sections of the sawmill and the facility in general. In the second part the process of determining the amount of material, different methods of debarking, cutting and different types of band saws are described. The third part focuses on the process optimisation, in this thesis the log conversion depot and the preparation of the input material. The final part of the thesis covers a summary of the thesis. This bachelors thesis which is titled Tools for hand woodworking presents a comprehensive summary of available informations and knowledge on the mentioned issue. The first part deals with the developmental origin and history of a hand tools and with the history of woodworking in general. The second part describes various types of woodworking tools, dividing them into different categories according to the methods of work, followed by a description of activities whom they are intended. The third part focuses on the advantages and disadvantages of using hand tools. From both point of views : economical and practical.
Analysis of cutting process of thermally modified wood using circular saws

The aim of the thesis Analysis of cutting process of thermally modified wood using circular saws is to present a comprehensive summary of available findings and knowledges about this particular process. The first part of the study deals with the circular saws, its history, division and particularly characteristics of the blade, as well as its geometry, possible materials for its production and maintenance. In the second part is described the process of cutting itself, namely the features which accompany the process, also the kinematics of circular saws, cutting resistance and cutting force. The third part deals with thermally modified wood, its principles, the production processes, features and machining of thermo wood using circular saws.

This bachelor thesis deals with the process of sanding and abrasive materials for wood. It characterizes the process equalize inequality surface of the wood and wood-based materials, which is important operations in the finishing products with highest quality level. It describes the basic methods of machining and sanding their effect on the final surface quality. In the introductory section concisely describes the history of sanding. The next part deals with the main factors affecting the sanding process and their influences on sanding wood. The main part is dedicated to the distribution of abrasive instrument. The structure of abrasive and its characteristics. Describes kinds of abrasive materials and their features. It analyzes the production of abrasive. The next sections deals with the determination of surface quality, surface preparation before sanding, repairing defects and storage of abrasive intruments. The last part analyze the machinery for wood sanding and their distribution. Describes a circular, cylindrical and belt sanders and their characteristics.
Frame saws controling - maintenance and utilization of the saw blades

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of operating frame saws, maintenance and usage of saw blades. In the introductory part, historic development and improvement of frame saws in the Czech Republic and abroadis gradually dismantled. The second part focuses on the theoretical analysis of the process of cutting frame saws. Next part deals with technical - technological characteristics of frame saws. The cutting mechanism and also the usage of the machineis described there. Next part is focused on categorization of cutting frame saws according to a frame diameter and from the kinematic point of view. The next section describes the methods of division by frame saws, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the machines. The following section focuses on the cutting tool of frame saws, its definition and characteristics. In this section, a saw blades, its distribution, shape and geometry are described. The final part deals with maintenance of saw blades, compensation and removal of local defects of internal stress, subsequent control of internal tensions, as well as distributing of the blades. Further more, this part deals with grinding wheels for sharpening of saw blades and mistakes that occurduring the sharpening of the saws.
