Foreign exchange reserves in developing coutries

The thesis deals with a role of foreign exchange reserves in developing countries. Main attention is devoted to the trends in development in foreign exchange reserves in recent years. The individual questions are analyzed in the context of accumulation of foreign exchange reserves. There are described connections between exchange reserves and individual periods of economic emergence in the developing countries. The thesis presents the meaning of exchange reserves in different types of foreign exchange regimes. There is described influence of exchange reserves on implementation of monetary policy. Foreign exchange reserves are divided in dependence on their origin. There is defined the relationship between accumulation of exchange reserves and net international investment position. The thesis deals with the role of foreign exchange reserves in global imbalances too. In the empirical part there are analyzed some questions described in theoretical part, using the cases of the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary.

The thesis "Monetary policy of ČNB and prospects of euro adoption" focuses on assessment of current monetary policy of the Czech National Bank its role in the process of preparation for the adoption of the single European currency and the Czech Republic's preparations for joining the European Monetary Union. The second part deals with the monetary policy of the Czech National Bank in connection with the entry into the European Monetary Union and its alignment with the monetary policy of the European Central Bank. The third section examines the impact of financial crisis on the monetary policy of the Czech National Bank, and development of economy of the Czech Republic in comparison with the European Monetary Union.

The thesis "Inflation targeting in circumstances of low interest rates" describes the monetary policy of the Czech National Bank with main aim on its current problems. The target of the thesis is to analytically prove the disruption of a section of the transmission mechanism when the repo rate should determine the interest rates on the czech interbank market. This disruption should have been caused by the recent financial crisis.
Possibilities and methods of currency risk management

The topic of this bachelor thesis is methods of currency risk management. In the globalised world most of the companies that take part in foreign trade are exposed to such risk. Therefore it is important to understand how this risk originates and how it can be managed. Because the main world trade currencies, including the US dolar, are unstable, ingnoring this problem can cause companies significant losses. In the main part of this bachelor thesis the author deals in detail with internal and external methods of currency risk management. This theoretical knowledge is then used in the analytical part to analyze and hedge the foreign currency exposure of Škoda Auto a.s. during 2010 and evaluate the outcomes of the analysis.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to discuss whether the Czech Republic is well prepared or not to join The European Economic and Monetary Union. It also describes the advantages and disadvantages connected with membership in The EMU. At the beginning it describes The European Economic and Monetary Union and the process of its formation. It also pays attention to the Maastricht criteria. Their performance is necessary for becoming a member of the EMU. It deals with economic convergence between the Czech Republic and other members of the EMU. Another topic of this work is the current performance of the Maastricht criteria by the Czech Republic. .In the last chapter it focuses on the current economic situation in the Czech Republic and the current economic convergence to the EMU. Finally this work evaluates that in these days the Czech Republic is not ready to join the European Economic and Monetary Union.
The Monetary Separation in the Czech Republic in 1993

This bachelor thesis focuses on the main aspects of the monetary separation in the Czech Republic in 1993. It analyses reasons, process and implications of the birth of independent Czech currency. At first studies an economic and monetary development of Czechoslovakia in the period 1990 - 1992 together with the changes in basic monetary indicators shortly previous the monetary separation. Characterization of the monetary separation including its legislative, organizational and technical background follows. Next part concerns with complementary activities, which go through the monetary separation, and discusses the development of the pivotal monetary quantities in consequence of the separation. The thesis is closed with a brief evaluation of the whole act.

In my Bachelor thesis, I am concerned with the bank regulations, their advantages and disadvantages and their main goals. I analyze conditions of the access to the Czech banking sector. Further, I discuss the principles of the effective supervision and describe the rules of prudent business. Also, I analyze the principle of the European single banking license and its impact on the structure of the bank sector in Czech Republic. Finally, I compare the bank regulation and supervision of the EU states with those of USA.
Trends in the Area of Bank Regulation and Supervision and Their Effects in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis is dealing with major changes in the regulation and supervision of banks at the international level. Firstly is focused on the specification of bank regulation and supervision and the reasons for a higher level of regulation of the banking sector. Following section is focused on selected rules of regulation and supervision such as capital adequacy, compulsory deposit insurance and the principle of single licence. The last part of the thesis analyses the development and the current legal form of these rules in the Czech republic. The emphasis of this work is placed on assesing the effects of capital adequacy, compulsory deposit insurance and the principle of single licence in Czech banking.
Vývoj regulace a dohledu nad českým finančním trhem

Koncepce regulace a dohledu ovlivňuje nejen profil účastníků finančního trhu, ale zejména charakter jejich jednání. Variant, jak ji institucionálně uchopit, potom existuje celá řada. Ať už je dané uspořádání jakékoli, musí reflektovat jednak výchozí parametry finančního systému, jednak aktuální tržní dění. V podmínkách České republiky usiluje o zdraví, stabilitu, účinnost, transparentnost a bezpečnost finančního prostředí Česká národní banka, v jejímž rámci byl výkon veškerých regulatorně-dohledových aktivit soustředěn k 1. dubnu 2006.
