Swimming level of pupils from elementary schools with own swimming pool

Title: Swimming level of pupils from primary school with private swimming pool. Work objectives: The aim is to identify assess level of swimming of pupils from first to ninth grade of primary school with a private pool in Chomutov district using continuous swimming test with regular swimming lessons, which is started in the first grade and persists until the ninth grade. The condition was organizing a school swimming lessons once a week for 45 minutes in all grades. Methodology: Swimming level was measured quantitatively based on a distance test at 200 m of continuous swimming. Qualitative assessment of swimming level was carried out by observing the course of the test situation and was applied to swimming skills of jump into water, realization of swimming breathing and swimming locomotion. In total, 738 probands were surveyed of which 356 boys and 382 girls. Results: We noted that 53% of surveyed probands with regular swimming lessons are able to swim 200m without interruption of continuous swimming test. We also noted that surveyed pupils who swam less than 200m had acquired less swimming skills (swimming breath and jump into water) than students who can swim 200m. Swimming level classification of young school age children and their success in a long distance swimming test

Title: Swimming level classification of young school age children and their success in a long distance swimming test Work objectives: The outcome of our work is comparison and evaluation of the initial and final swimming lenght in a test of long distance swimming. This test is taken during one swimming course. Methodology: Data which were obtained by testing a certain group of people and were statistically processed, showed the swimming level and performance of the young school age children. We determinated an improvement, a downgrade or a stagnancy of swimming level of the young school age children in the test of long distance swimming before and after each swimming course at the Jablonec nad Nisou swimming school. Results: As a result we detected a change in swimming lenght in the test of continuous swimming of young school age children. Children demonstrated an improvement of swimming performance at the end of the swimming class. Swimming education of handicapped people

The Title: Swimming education of handicaped people The Objectives: The objective is to propose and verify the conception of integration for people, who are insufficiently motoric disposed, suffer from specific development disturbance of learning, suffer from ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperaktivity Disorder) syndrome or coordination disturbance of younger school age, for ordinary basic swimming education. The Method: The nature of my work allows me to use an analysis of technical literature, method of testing, method of observance, method of interview, synthesis of practical and also theoretical knowledge, which I have gained during my working experience with children. The Results: The results show the possible ways how to integrate children with the diagnose of the specific development disturbance of learning, with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperaktivity Disorder) syndrome or with the children who suffer from the development disturbance of coordination in younger school age into the ordinary basic education. Preparatory training of swimming with mentally handicapped children

Subject matter: Preparatory training of swimming with mentally handicapped children Objectives: The main goal of this research work is to outline and to check suitable didactic methods during preparatory swimming training lessons with mentally handicapped children. The analysis of specialized literature and the realization of experimental education make definding of informations and analysing of practical experience through the recommending-form for practical use possible. Method: The research work will observe abilities and swimming skills of mentally handicapped children during preparatory swimming classes. Method of qualitative, direct and participating observation will be used. Data will be collected in form of social survey with parents, casuistry and interviews with experimentee. At the same time further data will be gained with help of questionnaires for pedagogical workers. We will also use a method of evaluation, practical testing and scaling. Results: The research worked has proved that it always depends on the character, extent of handicap and on momentary mental condition of the individual.
