Electrolytes containing a phosphorus-based flame retardant
Pelikán, Ondřej ; Libich, Jiří (referee) ; Máca, Josef (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the theoretical knowledge of lithium accumulators. More attention is given to electrolytes and especially to flame retardants, where the types and individual examples of flame retardants are described more detailed. The practical part is focused on the individual laboratory measurement of selected samples of electrolytes with different flame retardants. The measurement results are analyzed in other parts.
Predicting the Effect of Amino Acid Substitutions on Protein Function Using MAPP Method
Pelikán, Ondřej ; Vogel, Ivan (referee) ; Bendl, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis discusses the issue of predicting the effect of amino acid substitutions on protein function using MAPP method. This method requires the multiple sequence alignment and phylogenetic tree constructed by third-party tools. Main goal of this thesis is to find the combination of suitable tools and their parameters to generate the inputs of MAPP method on the basis of analysis on one massively mutated protein. Then, the MAPP method is tested with chosen combination of parameters and tools on two large independent datasets and consequently is compared with the other tools focused on prediction of the effect of mutations. Apart from this the web interface for the MAPP method was created. This interface simplifies the use of the method since the user need not to install any tools or set any parameters.
Blood presure measurement in LabVIEW
Pelikán, Ondřej ; Štohanzlová, Petra (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
The main purpose of this semestral project is to design and realize a product that allows to acquire the Korotkoff’s sounds and measure blood pressure by using a computer. The paper gives a proposal of the preamplifier for acquisition of Korotkoff’s sounds, wiring of product and designed software for data acquisition. Document also contains theoretical informations about options of blood pressure measuring.
Embedded Modules of Modern Mobile Devices
Pelikán, Ondřej ; Čermák, Martin (referee) ; Křivka, Zbyněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis concerns mobile application development for Windows Phone 7 platform focused on lifestyle changes and dealing with problems concerning weight, physical condition and appearance. The application uses built-in modules of modern mobile phones like GPS navigation, high resolution camera and Internet connection. The application development description starts from general introduction of the issue, through description of main features of the platform Windows Phone 7, concrete architecture of the application and solution of implementation problems, to description of methods and tools used for the design and planning, library and third-party framework description.
Falconry as a Part of Curriculum at the Czech Schools
Zonková, Kristýna ; Řezníček, Jan (advisor) ; Pelikán, Ondřej (referee)
The thesis is focused on falconry lessons in primary and secondary schools in the Czech Republic. It introduces the theory of falconry: Past and Present, legislation, falconer and ethics, anatomy and physiology birds of prey, falconry equipment, protection of birds of prey and falconry contemporary significance. Suggests the possibilities that mediate falconry lessons in schools both within lessons and excursions. The thesis is the preparation and implementation of the above proposed teaching methods: Power Point presentations and worksheets aimed at training students in primary and secondary schools filled with falconry, falconer conversation and exemplary school excursion. Key words: falconry, field trips, power point, birds of prey
