The work deals with a design and realization of the comprehensive system of home automation. Individual elements of the system communicate utilizing CAN bus. Home automation system should provide lighting, heating and security management. The system should be controlled by tablets with android operating system utilizing developed control software. Microcomputer Raspberry Pi is used to control the automation system.

The work deals witch design and realization of create an electronic security device based on Atmel AVR microcontroller’s family. Individual elements of security, together they communicate using XBee wireless interface. The device should provide notice through the GSM network disruption when guarded zone. Communication between the microcontroller, GSM module, and XBee module will be provided via USART bus. The whole system should take account of energy savings when using battery power.
