Changes of vegetation composition in hilly country forests depending on the application of historical forms of management
Nechanská, Denisa ; Boublík, Karel (advisor) ; Frouz, Jan (referee)
The aim of my study is to determine the influence of historical management practices on the camposition of vascular species in hilly country forests on the Vysoká stráň hill in the Bohemian Karst Protected Landscape Area in the Czech Republic. My thesis is divided into two parts. The first part of my thesis describes influences of forest management on the herb diversity from different scientific studies. There is some information about the influence of herbivorous grazing, pollarding, litter raking and fire. Secondly provides a case study dealing with the influence of historical management on the vascular species composition in the forest understory. My experimental area was divided into 32 treatments, where three different ways of historical management were used - mowing of the understory vegetation, litter raking and the combination of mowing and litter raking. The fourth area was a control treatment. Change in the herb diversity depending on a time is statistically significant but changes in the herb diversity depending on different ways of historical management are statistically insignificant. We detected a distinct decline in the herb diversity during our experiment, also on the control treatments. The main gradient of vegetation points from mesophilous acidophytes to species characteristic...
Analysis of using renewable energy sources in the Czech Republic
Kukal, Tomáš Augustin ; Matějíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Nechanská, Denisa (referee)
The objective of this thesis is analysis of the use renewable sources of energy in Czech Republic made by ArcGIS using multi criteria analysis. The first part deals with the detailed theoretical study of materials available to find information about renewable energy sources, which are in the Czech Republic. It's about own sources of energy (principle of acquisition), but also about their current and future condition. The main emphasis is focused on the sources of water, wind and solar energy. Marginally, the work deals with the possibility of obtaining energy from biomass. In the second part of my thesis are located information about GIS, ArcGIS and multi criteria decision making methods, also description of the analysis of renewable sources in Czech Republic in ArcGIS program using the methods of multi criteria analysis with a diagram made in Modelbuilder. The output of the analysis is a map with usefull potencial. The foundation for the processed map was used maps containing information about the annual total solar radiation, average wind speed, display weirs and map of land using classification CORINE. Processed map can be primarily used as a model example of work with multi criteria analysis. It's next use is identification sites where it is possible to build power station which uses renewable...

Transboundary eel (Anguilla anguilla) management plans
Lehoučková, Sabina ; Kalous, Lukáš (advisor) ; Nechanská, Denisa (referee)
In the bachelor thesis are collected and compared data obtained from available materials that deal with the issue of declining state of European eel (Anguilla anguilla) in European waters. Population decline was recorded already in the 80s of last century and throughout the range, which includes most inland and coastal waters of Europe and North Africa. The first chapter describes the species of Anguilla anguilla, developmental stages and migration cycle, who during his life this species pass. In the following part of the work is information on the Council Regulation (EC) No. 1100/2007 of 18 September 2007 establishing measures for the recovery of the stock of European eel. This regulation requires the individual Member States of the European Union to draw up plans Management of European eel on their territory if the area falls between habitats eel. The next section discusses the management plans for the Czech Republic, England and Wales, the Netherlands, Denmark and Spain. The management plans are then selected individual chapters devoted to the definition of the basin, which measures for the recovery of the eel population concerning the procedure for determining the target escapement levels of 40 % of adults with eel in marine waters and further concrete measures implemented by means of the watercourses which should be the target level achieved. The final part is devoted to the discussion, which are summarized and compared the measures used by Member States in the individual management plans. Furthermore, this part contains data on the eel population after the introduction of primary measures for its renewal.
Fish production with usage of aquaponics
Tůmová, Veronika ; Kalous, Lukáš (advisor) ; Nechanská, Denisa (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with fish and plant production in aquaponic systems. It describes the principle of aquaponics, the interaction between individual system elements, use of technical equipment and technology. Thesis links the connection in different requirements of each ecosystem component in water quality parameters and nutrient intake. In the second half, it deals with fish and plant production strategies, plant and fish species suitable for aquaponics and with economics of the production. Thesis is focused on aquaponic systems as such in general with greater focus on the smaller one, hobby aquaponics.
