Detection of neuronal pathways after CNS lesions by using dextran amine.
Muchová, Zuzana ; Otáhal, Jakub (advisor) ; Konopková, Renata (referee)
Title of work: Detection of neuronal pathways after CNS lesions by using dextran amine. Aim: Develop a metodology for pathway tracing with the substance transmitted by axonal anterograde transport and compare iontophoretic and pressure injection of BDA. Methods: The experiment was performed on adult rats which where injected iontophoretic and pressure anterograde tracer BDA. One week after injection were decapitated in deep anesthesia, their brains removed, frozen in dry ice and stored at -70řC. The brains were then cut into thin coronal slice (50 µm), immunolabeled and loaded on microscopic slides. Individual sections were examined labeling nerve fibers at the injection site, its surroundings and contralateral side of the hemisphere. Results: After injections of anterograde tracer BDA into the nervous tissue have been shown labeling of nerve fibers at the injection site, surroundings and contralateral side of the hemisphere. As an efficient method for its injection was determined according to results of the pressure method. Key words: anterograde tracer, BDA, iontophoretic injection, cerebral ischemia, neuroplasticity
Movement in mathematics
Muchová, Zuzana ; Jirotková, Darina (advisor) ; Hejný, Milan (referee)
In my thesis I concern with the use of motoric activities in math classes. The chapters that offer a range of motoric activities were processed on the base of a questionnaire and an experiment. Some of the activities are currently being implemented in math classes by teachers of first, second and third grades at primary schools, others are part of textbooks designed for this age group. In addition to that, I offer five more possible activities, which have been recorded and interpreted within six experiments. The goal of the thesis is to demonstrate that physical movement cannot be separated from the life of six to nine years old children, and offer some motoric activities, which can potentially be contributive for development of mathematical skills and abilities.

The Thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The former is concerned with mostly with remedial therapy - both acute and subacute. The latter includes a qualitative treatment of two casuistries in which the combination of PNF method and Dr. Václav Vojta's principle was applied within the therapy. For verification, the results from the examines carried out before and after the therapy were compared. Title of bachelor thesis: The use of feedback using the system Armeo Spring in patiens with central paresis of the upper limb Abstract: Theme of my bachelor thesis is the use of feedback using the system Armeo®Spring in patiens with central paresis of the upper limb. With progress of modern technology is one of the possibilities robotic-assisted therapy. The aim of this thesis is to verify or disprove the efficiency of use of feedback using the system Armeo Spring in rehabilitation of upper extremities, which were effected by stroke. This thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is recherche about knowlege of the efficiency of system Armeo®Spring. The next area outlins robotics and virtual reality in rehabilitation, which is quickly developing. The base for my theoretical part was mostly foreign studies and articals. Subsequently, it was my attempt to approach this method not only in terms of theory, but mainly practices in favor of Czech patients. Based on gain information and my experience I can affirm that the therapy using the system Armeo®Spring has positive influence for motoric function of upper extremities and is effective in rehabilitation in patiens with central paresis of the upper limb. Key words: stroke, upper limb paresis, neurorehabilitation, robotic-assisted...

Robotic systems in neurorehabilitation specialized in the upper extremity by patients after stroke
Pokorná, Barbora ; Senohrábková, Eva (advisor) ; Muchová, Zuzana (referee)
OF BACHELOR THESIS Title of bachelors thesis: Robotic systems in neurorehabilitation specialized in the upper extremity by patients after stroke Abstract: This bachelors research describes robotic systems application in neurorehabilitation of the upper extremity in stroke patients. Acquired paresis of the upper extremity as a result of stroke is very frequent impairment what stimulates developing of new treatment possibilities of higher effectivity. The robotic therapy is one of them. Are the robotic systems really effective in treatment of upper arm impairment in stroke patients? This is the principal question of this bachelor's work. It consists of two parts. The first , theoretic, is based mainly on forein articles and researches regarding robotic systems. There were compared advantages and disadvantages of robotic systems, described different characteristics, and discussed economics and the effectivity rate, as it's the most controversial point, in chosed articles. And the second part, practical, is made of two case history where the robotic system Armeo®Spring was used as a treatment approach. The answer to the principal question was established according to results of this work. The robotic systems are effective in neurorehabilition of upper arms impairment in stroke patients. Problem of painful shoulder in hemiparetics patients
Daumann, Pavla ; Muchová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Konvalinková, Romana (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on a painful hemiparetic shoulder as a frequently observed complication in patients suffering from stroke. Basic information about stroke, anatomy and kinematics of shoulder joint is included in a theoretical part of the thesis. The largest portion describes a pathogenesis of painful hemiparetic shoulder, its prevention and commonly used physiotherapeutic approaches. The practical part of the thesis consists of two case reports of patients with stroke suffering from painful hemiparetic shoulder. In both cases, a combination of physiotherapeutic approaches applied in ten cycles over a period of 4 to 6 weeks was used. To prove an effectiveness of the therapy, I used kinesiological assessment as well as a faces pain scale for an evaluation of shoulder pain. To assess a mobility of the shoulder, I used a goniometry and functional tests for upper limb. Results of the therapy are described in a discussion part of the thesis and indicate that the combination of physiotherapeutic approaches may decrease pain as well as improve the mobility of affected shoulder. These results should be confirmed in a larger patient population. Key words: stroke, hemiparesis, shoulder, pain, physiotherapy
Low back pain - overview of rating scales and their use in physiotherapy practise
Brožová, Alžběta ; Konvalinková, Romana (advisor) ; Muchová, Zuzana (referee)
Title: Low back pain - overview of rating scales and their use in physiotherapy practise Abstract: The thesis is focused on the creation of the overview of rating scales deal with low back pain. This overview includes 28 scales in sum. Eight scales from this summary are selected for a practice. Four ambulant patients were attended in the research. These patients go to physiotherapy for low back pain regularly. Two patients have a radicular symptomatology and the other two are without this irritation. Each patient was physical examined by physiotherapist. The results from respondents were compared with the results of examination of the therapist. Each of these respondents chose the most appropriate scale from his focus. The time-consuming of filling and scoring of scales was determined. In conclusion the most appropriate scales were noted for the needs of ambulatory care in physiotherapy practise. Key words: low back pain, questionnaire, rating scales, The McGill Pain Questionnaire, The Oswestry Disability Index, The Roland-Morris Disability Questionnaire

Title Specifics of physiotherapy at pedes plani The abstract: This thesis summarizes possible methods physiotherapy of flat foot. It describes the anatomy, the kinesiology of foot, the examination of foot and anatomizes the problems of flat foot. The physiotherapy proceeds from principles of sensomotility stimulation and use of exercise units formed for the patients with this diagnosis. The kinesiotape was applied as a supporting therapy for a half of patients. Findings gained from the study of this problem were verified in praxis during case interpretation and by using Footscan measuring equipment. Key words: Flat feet, methods and concepts of physiotherapy, sensomotility stimulation, kinesio taping, exercise unit, footscan
