Methods The historical method was used for description of the evolution of the backstroke technique. The overview of the main changes in the technique was prepared by using the comparison method. Title: Evaluation of the number drowned people in the Czech Republic in the years 1998-2018 Objective: Evaluation of the number of drowned people in the Czech Republic, depending on age, sex and cause of drowning in the years 1998-2018. Methods: Search of available resources. Collecting data from the Czech Statistical Office and information portals. Results: The group 50-64 years of age in the terms of drowning is the most risky age group. The age group 10-14 years is the least risky. The ratio of all drowned men and women is 2,7:1. The most common cause of drowning is unspecified drowning. In many cases, it is not possible to determine the cause of the drowning. Titul: The effectiveness of training integrated rescue system in the system of continuing professional education and lifelong. Objectives: The goal is within the theoretical level to define, describe and explain the key terms related to the integrated rescue system. Objective of the research is to verify the functionality of the education system of IRS through a questionnaire survey on the effectiveness of education as a tool for feedback on the education system components. Methods: Main method of thesis is quantitative research based on a standardized survey. Research is focused on the current education system and its effectiveness in terms of the integrated rescue system. Research focused on public concerns to determine public opinion on the perception of the individual components of the integrated rescue system. Results: In the questionnaire survey identifying areas that are dysfunctional in terms of efficiency. Based on the results obtained by analyzing questionnaire was developed and designed a model of analytical and synthetic modeling, allowing to create the concept of a single training course of IRS. Title: Specifics of teaching swimming to children with autism spectrum disorder. Objectives: Creation and implementation of the concept of preparatory and basic swimming lessons for children with autism spectrum disorder. Evaluation of information on continuing education and the achieved level of swimming skills and swimming locomotion observed in children with autism spectrum disorder. Presentation and qualitative assessment of the four case studies and subsequent design of guidelines for swimming education for children with autism spectrum disorder. Methods: Analysis of scientific literature, case studies, surveys, interviews, ranking, observation and statistical methods. The results: Teaching swimming with structured educational plans enables effective swimming lessons for children with autism spectrum disorder. Confirms the effectiveness of case studies. Name: An overview of the performance of men and women in the discipline of the 100 m freestyle at the Olympics from 1924 to 2016. Aim: The first aim of the diploma thesis is to create a historical overview of the course of swimming competitions at the modern Olympics from 1924 to 2016. The second aim is to process personal profiles of male anf female swimmers at the first places in the discipline of the 100 m freestyle from 1924 to 2016. And the third aim is to compile a performanceoverview of all male and female finalists in the discipline of the 100 m freestyle after two always following Olympics from 1924 to 2016. Methods: The historical method was used in the search for sources of historical data in the development of swimming and the processing of individual Olympic Games. It consisted of analyzing historical facts, examining sources and creating an overview of developments. Based on the search and processing of individual performances, graphs were prepared and then the results were compared. Outcome: From the analysis of performance, we found that in the period from 1924 to 2016, men improved by 19%, which represents 11.42 s, and women by 27%, which is 19.70 s. The results of the research show that the development of men's performance slowed down while women's performance is still improving....

Title: Negative emotions in swimming lessons for people with mental disability Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to determine the occurrence of negative emotions associated with swimming lessons in people with mental disabilities through selected methods. Other goals are to find out the nature of the occurrence and the possibility of influencing these emotions. The result of guided interviews and the subsequent synthesis of knowledge should be the development of principles that are causal for the prevention and possible positive influence of negative emotions associated with swimming instruction in people with mental disabilities. Research questions 1. Do people with mental disabilities experience negative emotions in connection with swimming lessons? 2. On what basis do these emotions arise? 3. Title: Non-verbal expressions in the students' didactical outputs at the Charles University, the Faculty od Physical Education and Sport in the subject Theory and basics of swimming didactics Purpose: The aim of this diploma thesis is to consider the degree of selected aspects of the non-verbal expressions in the studens' didactical outputs at the Charles University, the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport and to evaluate non-verbal differences between males and famales and between students with more focus on swimming and those who only participated in swimming lesson obligatory. Methods: Observation and video analyzing methods were used for the reserch of the selected aspects. The analysis of the video recording results is presented in graphs. Results: The video analysis method seems to be appropriate for examining the students' didactical outputs. The frequencies of the selected non-verbal acpects of the individuals in the research are intraindividually different. When comparing the students' non-verbal expressions defferences were found in quarter of the observed cases. Trends in World and Czech Swimming Performance in the Period 2000-2017

Title: Trends in world and czech swimming performance during years 2000-2017 Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to analyze the performance development of czech and world elite swimmers in the last 18 years. The trend of progressive performance changes is monitored in the male and female categories in all individual disciplines on the short course races. Methods: To obtain the data for the thesis, we used a combination of historical and documentary methods. The initial data processing was performed by basic statistical survey, in the result part in the graphical form, with used tables and graphs with partial discussions. The studied object was represented by the national czech and world swimming records of the short course of all individual disciplines for women and men in the senior category Results: During the period 2000-2017, in all individual disciplines, record-breaking values in the Czech Republic and in world swimming were improved. The trend of swimming performance development in the Czech Republic is comparable to the performance development in the world swimming. The development of record values have been greatly influenced by changes in swimming rules, especially in rules, which defines swimwear.
