Energy efficiency of hydrogen utilization in transport
Mikulenka, Karel ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Vopařil, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis analyses current possibilities of hydrogen usage in transport. Hydrogen is by scientific community viewed as a possible answer to ever growing emissions from transport and their negative affect on the environment. The work introduces the most significant advantages of hydrogen usage as a fuel in comparison to its counterpart combustion engine and battery vehicles. Two means of obtaining energy from hydrogen in a vehicle itself shall be described which are hydrogen combustion and fuel cells. Further shall be made analysis of current possibilities for potential end customer pertaining vehicle and fuel availability. In the end is given a general description of hydrogen transport implementation in Czech Republic and its energetic cost and efficiency within an overall hydrogen economy.
Design of hydrogen jet engine to 1kN thrust
Mikulenka, Karel ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis includes a brief history of jet engines using hydrogen as fuel. Calculation of thermodynamics of small engine with thrust up to 1 kN which is in modern day used in practice drones or ballistic missiles will be conducted. Given initial parameters compressor selected is of radial type. Calculation of radial compressor and its verification in EES software. Issue of combustion chambers is presented and calculation of chamber balance is carried out. Computation of turbine and blading layout. Proposal of jet for expansion into atmosphere and engine thrust. Comparison of contemporary projects researching hydrogen propulsion in aerospace with their conventional counterparts and assessing their feasibility compared to other types of renewable fuels.

Theme of the work is: "The posibility of ensuring the treetops by binding steel ropes with baseplates". This work deals with static binding on trees focusing on binding, using the steel ropes with baseplates. All components used to static binging are described in detail. Main object is to develop methodologies for installing this binding and their applications to trees with subsequent evaluation. At the same time has been inspected and measurements on different types of static bindings. Several trees were installed drilled binding which was removed after one year and was evaulated the influence of this binding on trees.
