History of Chrudim Puppetry Museum
Matula, Richard ; Krátká, Lenka (advisor) ; Wohlmuth Markupová, Jana (referee)
The diploma thesis attempts to outline the origins and development of the Chrudim Puppetry Museum, founded in 1972, using the method of oral history, archival research and available literary sources. Attention is focused on the circumstances of the establishment of this memory institution with international ambitions, the formation of its collection, the characteristics of its professional activities and the everyday life of its employees during the period of the so-called normalisation. However, the work also traces the transformation that the above-mentioned areas went through in the context of the fall of the previous regime in the new political, economic and social conditions until approximately the first half of the 1990s.
