Role of nurse in organ donation in pediatric patiens

The topic of my diploma thesis is the issue of nursing care in pediatric patients before consumption of organs at the resuscitation department. I consider this topic socially very topical because the number of transplant candidates on transplantation lists is constantly increasing. Since child transplant candidates are the most vulnerable group, I have focused on child organ donors. The theoretical part criticizes the concept of death and threat, including examination methods that lead to brain death. I present the activities of the Coordination Center of the Transplant and Coordi- nated Coordinator in a donor program that seeks to proliferate the transplant program. An important component is legal legislation and ethical aspects, which are an integral part of the donor system in the Czech Republic. Study materials I searched in the databases NLK, SVKKL, Medvik, Embase, PubMed, Wiley Online Library, Medscape. The research was conducted from the National Medical Library and from the Central Bohemian Library in Kladno. I got statistical data from web sources, especially from KST. The influence of the burnout syndrome on the sexuality of non-medical male health care workers in emergency care setting in university hospitals

Introduction: The topic of burnout syndrome is a considerably up-to date topic worldwide and not completely thoroughly researched. The aim of the diploma thesis is to learn whether a higher rate of burnout syndrome has an effect on sexuality in non-medical male health workers in urgent care workplaces in teaching facilities. The topic of the syndrome has fascinated me as a healthcare worker in urgent care. The information obtained from the research work will be a partof an international study investigating the impact of the burnout syndrome on human health. In the Czech Republic, this research is conducted under the authority of PhDr. Šárka Dynáková, Ph.D. and doc. PhDr. Jana Kožnara, CSc. Methodology: The research was carried out using a quantitative method using two anonymous questionnaires. The research sample consisted of non-medical male health workers at urgent care facilities in teaching hospitals. The first standardized questionnaire is focused on the burnout syndrome according to the Czech version of the Shirom-Melamed scale (Shirom, Melamed, 2006 In Ptáček, 2013), the second questionnaire is focused on the sexual functions of men according to Mellan in Kratochvíl, S. Introduction to the issue and the importance of the topic: The subject of this diploma thesis is to focus on issues related to teaching methods for the practice of hand hygiene in health care professionals in medical facilities. The issue of increasing efficiency in education is today an increasingly relevant topic supporting the activity of every person. In medical facilities, we encounter a problem with employee motivation, mutual interaction and communication when practicing new nursing procedures (hand hygiene), (Cullen, 2017). Unfortunately, most lecturers still teach only traditional teaching methods and use activating methods minimally or not at all (Sitná et al., 2009). Such a stereotype in the teaching process often provides only mechanical reproduction of the learned content. There is no consideration of understanding and practical interconnection, which is often boring and cumbersome for employees (Duran et al., 2017). The lecturer should pass on theoretical knowledge and practical skills to the given employees and thus develop their attitudes necessary for the performance of their profession (Vengl, 2011). Historical Development of Anesthesiology Nurse

The rapid development of the intensive care medicine with a large amount of highly specific information requires sufficiently educated nurses in the field. A nurse anesthetist is a nurse working in intensive care with a focus on anesthesiology. She provides highly specialized nursing care to patients during the course of general or local anesthesia. The work is divided into two parts, a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the development of anesthesiology and intensive care medicine. It also focuses on the education of nurses. The education of nurses is summarised from historical beginnings to the present time. This part also includes new requirements for the education of non-medical medical staff and the current supporting legislation. Higher education for intensive care is also mentioned. The next chapter of the theoretical part focuses on the competencies of nurses in anesthesiology and intensive care medicine. The practical part includes interviews with six nurses. Three interviews were conducted with nurses that witnessed the beginnings of the field of anesthesiology as we know it nowadays. Assessment methods for measuring the depth of analgosedation in patients in intensive and resuscitation care and their practical application

Introduction: Prevention and treatment of pain or discomfort is an integral part of modern intensive care. Insufficient or, conversely, excessively deep sedation and analgesia are associated with a number of risks, such as prolonged hospitalization. For this reason, the use of scoring systems to monitor agitation and pain is currently recommended. Objectives and methodology: The aim of the work was to obtain data on the use of scoring systems to assess the pain and depth of sedation in intensive and resuscitation care workplaces in the Czech Republic and to evaluate the satisfaction of nurses with their use. The research was carried out using a quantitative method in the form of a semi-structured questionnaire of my own creation. The research sample consisted of station nurses and head nurses from anesthesiology and resuscitation departments and intensive care units. Results: The research survey involved 62 workplaces of intensive and resuscitation care in the Czech Republic. The existence of a sedation protocol was reported by 26 workplaces (42 %), the use of standardized scales to assess the depth of sedation was reported by 46 workplaces (74 %). Motivational and demotivational factors to remain in intensive care nursing

The profession of a general nurse is a specific job with high demands. At present, recruiting and retaining general nurses is an urgent and fundamental problem not only in the Czech Republic but also worldwide. The extent of the shortage of general nurses is not clear. The Czech Nursing Association (ČAS) reports figures ranging from 2000 to 3300 for the years 2017 and 2018. The lack of trained and qualified general nurses results in a series of negative effects, impacting not only the quality but also availability of the care provided. Some foreign studies even indicate that the shortage of nurses increases the likelihood of complications and patient deaths (Aiken et al., 2014). By recognizing the motivational and demotivational factors impacting the satisfaction of nurses we can help to retain general nurses in their jobs and increase their work performance. The research survey implemented at one specific intensive care unit of the highest level was conducted using the qualitative research method. Palliative care in the intensive care from the perspektive of treating staff

(Aj) Introduction: Although palliative care may not seem to be part of an intense environment, it is true. Palliative approach to patients who are in resuscitation wards or intensive care units is part of a comprehensive approach in the treatment of seriously ill patients. It includes an individual and sensitive approach to a patient in a state where all available treatment options are exhausted, and further proactive steps in treatment would entail patient suffering, family hardship and, last but not least, a non-palliative treatment approach would have a negative impact to the entire nursing staff. Palliative care therefore involves not only an individual approach to the needs of the patient but also of the patient's family and loved ones. It is not a concept of care based on an individual's approach to the patient, but rather on the cooperation of the entire nursing team, ie doctors, nurses and paramedics. The diploma thesis follows the history of nursing up to the present date and further the historical development of a nurse anesthetist. The thesis deals mainly with competencies and the specialized education of a nurse anesthetist in the Czech Republic. The aim of this theoretical-historical thesis is to map the origin and gradual development of a nurse anesthetist. The first part is devoted to the overall history of nursing and the development of anesthesia from antiquity to the present. The main aim of this work is, however, to map and inform about the development of a nurse anesthetist, her education and her competences from the first nurse anesthetist to the present time. The work is theoretical-empirical. The method of qualitative research, study of documents, analysis of primary, archival sources of MZ, NRL, UVV, legislation, periodicals, professional books and articles was used. Interviews were also conducted with the witnesses of the beginning of anesthesiology as a separate field. The aim of the thesis was to map the origin and gradual development of a nurse anesthetist and her competences.
