Journalist 2.0 Alexandr Mitrofanov: "an old-school journalist" in online environment
Krupa, Adam ; Hájek, Roman (advisor) ; Zápotocký, Jan (referee)
The thesis studies the way the journalists, who were used to publish their work in printed media, act in the environment of social network, namely Twitter. I primarily focused on a Twitter account of an influential political columnist, Alexandr Mitrofanov, who had been a long-term contributor to Právo newspaper. Mitrofanov has adapted very well on Twitter. Recently he is mostly known as a micro blogger, he has more than fifty thousand followers. The objective of the research is to find out how and in which way Mitrofanov is active on his Twitter account, what contributions, articles, or comments he posts and in which topics he is interested. I have used the Quantitative content analysis method to assess Mr. Mitrofanov's tweets. The results of the research indicate that Mitrofanov posts tweets every day, there is almost no difference between weekdays and weekends. He mainly makes comments on his follower's tweets. Alexandr Mitrofanov rarely retweets. He hardly ever uses hashtags. Mitrofanov's aversion to use this key element of Twitter (the tool which helps to sort topics and keep track of the news) is a proof that despite of high degree of adaptation to the online environment, Alexandr Mitrofanov still remains an "old-school journalist".
Message and media reflection of visits of two Popes in Czechoslovak Federal Republic and Czech Republic in the light of their public speeches: John Pavel II. - 1990,1995,1997 a Benedikt XVI - 2009
Krupa, Adam ; Lovaš, Karol (advisor) ; Knapík, Jiří (referee)
The Pope's visits are important social, political, and media events. The pope always comes to the host country with a predetermined agenda, not unlike the one for state visits by politicians. The Pope's speeches are at the center of the public part of the agenda. This thesis aims to analyze the messages that the two popes presented to the nation and the world during their visits to Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic. And also how the media captured, interpreted, and brought these messages to their audiences. The results show that the popes emphasized several topics, from spiritual renewal, return to tradition, reorganization of the Church to the commemoration of Christianity as the basis of European culture. However, the media largely ignored these frames, because even the use of frames does not guarantee preferred decoding. The analysis of selected newspapers showed that the papal messages were spread the best in Lidové noviny, a paper focused on strong opinion texts. This is all the more surprising because Lidové noviny was built on the traditional anti-Catholic tradition. The narrowly focused Catholic weekly did not spread the message to such an extent. In the case of the mainstream Mladá fronta Dnes, the form of the visit prevailed over the content, and the main role was played by the...

Krúpa, Adam ; Riedlbauch, Václav (advisor) ; Hanzlík, Jan (referee)
The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to consider and reflect different approaches to management in the field of culture, theatre in particular. This thesis also tries to find positives and negatives of these approaches. In the theoretical part, which is patterned on expert publications dealing with this topic, there are outlined some basic management elements and procedures with emphasis on connection with theatre management and specific conditions of functioning of a theatre institution with a good managing director. The theoretical part also deals with the field of arts marketing (marketing mix, internal and external environment of an organization) along with given examples. The practical part describes and compares two different approaches to management of Tyl Theatre in the town of Kutná Hora, analyses past and current running of this regional theatre and the potential solution is found in a compromise and respect to various opinions and their joining together.
