Influence of notches under cyclic high-frequency fatigue loading
Kozáková, Kamila ; Ševeček, Oldřich (referee) ; Klusák, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the lifetimes of smooth and notched specimens. The comparison of their lifetimes is focused on the case of high-frequency cyclic loading in the area of high-cycle and gigacycle fatigue of materials. The theory of critical distances is used to evaluate and recalculate the life curves of the notched specimens. The effect of the notch is quantified using the Line method. The critical length parameter is determined so that the life curve of the notched specimens corresponds to the curve measured on smooth specimens. The result is the dependence of the critical length parameter on the number of cycles to fracture. Knowledge of critical length parameters can be used to determine the lifetime of notched specimens as well as real notched components using the results of fatigue tests of smooth specimens.
Computational tool for fluid flow of gases through nozzles
Kozáková, Kamila ; Zálešák, Martin (referee) ; Klimeš, Lubomír (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with thermodynamic relations of one-dimensional, adiabatic and steady flow through the duct. Thermodynamic terms, equations and principles, required for understanding the problems of fluid flow, are summed at the beginning. The greatest attention is paid to step-by-step solution of each case, which can occur. These analyses were implemented in a software for solving thermodynamic problems. Scripts and the graphical user interface were created in a programming language Python using its libraries. Last part of this work is focused on evaluating and testing problems of fluid flow through the ducts.

Isang Yun and his Works for Oboe
Kozáková, Kamila ; BROŽKOVÁ, Jana (advisor) ; MIHULE, Jiří (referee)
Isang Yun and his works for oboe is a title of this master thesis. It introduces a personality of a Korean composer Isang Yun and it focuses on his works for oboe. The first chapter contains resumé of principal moments of the composer´s life. The next chapter briefly touches characteristics of a traditional Korean music, how the western culture is displayed in the Korean music, what is her influence on the Korean music and their inosculation into each other. The following chapter describes a compositional style of Isang Yun in which elements of both different cultures combine in a unique way. Yun´s work is devided here into five stylistic periods and in this chapter one fractional subchapter is also introduced where an insight into a few compositional techniques of the composer, can be found. Final chapter contains analysis of five compositions, which Isang Yun wrote for oboe "Piri, Doppelkonzert for oboe and harp, Rondell, Quartett for oboe and strings and Bläserquintett.
Henri Tomasi: Life and work with focus on compositions that make use of double reed instrument
Kozáková, Kamila ; Brožková, Jana (advisor) ; Mihule, Jiří (referee)
This Bachelor Thesis is focused on the life and career of an important French composer and conductor Henri Tomasi. It introduces his fundamental compostitions, circumstances of their creation and explains the connection with Tomasi's life events. It also mentions the time period, in which Tomasi grew up and which affected him as much as the important cultural events, artistic tendencies and celebrities of that time did. Tomasi's composition technique is described in a similar way; in particular it gives the analysis of composition of those pieces, which the author dedicated to double reed instruments, including both the solo and the chamber music. In the conclusion the overall legacy is being discussed.
