Universal Content Management System on Ruby on Rails

This paper introduces the reader into utilization of web application frameworks in web development. It describes Content Management Systems and demands on them. The goal of the thesis is to implement a new Content Management System using a Ruby on Rails framework. The system is required to faciliate a simple publication of documents in various forms. It should also provide multilingual environment and support custom interface templates.
Automatic User Interface Design for Remote Access

This thesis explores the possibilities of abstraction of graphical user interface and automation of its design and development process at runtime. Emphasis is placed on possibility of remote control over computer network and accordingly on delegation of the interface creation on the human operated remote machine. The thesis analyzes contemporary approaches to and methods of interface generation. As a goal of the thesis a system for automatic user interface generation for remote applications was designed and implemented. The generation is based on specified data model.
Web Base Video Player with Slides and Transcript

Content of this thesis is dedicated to problematics of design and implementation of a web base video player with slides as a JavaScript plugin. As the outcome of this thesis is supposed to replace an already existing player , the first chapter is dedicated to it's throughout analysis . Following chapters are the dedicated to desing , implementation and testing of the player , using information acquired in the phase of analysis .
Word Games for Acquiring Linguistic Data

This thesis focuses on design and implementation of a basic word game for guessing given word with knowledge of its paraphrase. The output of the game is annotated word data, which can be further used as a base in creation of parallel of paraphrase dictionary. The game consist of two mutually communicating parts - the client part, which mostly takes care of displaying the game interface and the server part, which takes care of the actual computation. There were used modern web technologies during implementation, especially client-side JavaScript a server-side Node.js.
