Adapting the NetCOPE Platform for the NetFPGA Card
Koranda, Karel ; Puš, Viktor (referee) ; Korček, Pavol (advisor)
This thesis deals with adapting the NetCOPE platform for rapid development of hardware-accelerated network aplications for the NetFPGA-10G card. Its general purpose is to introduce target technology of FPGA chips and describe differences between the families of COMBOv2 and NetFPGA cards. The goals of this thesis are to design, implement and document the necessary adjustments of the NetCOPE platform, as well as testing of target hardware device with already ported platform and evaluation of options for inserting the core application.
Acceleration of Network Traffic Encryption
Koranda, Karel ; Kajan, Michal (referee) ; Polčák, Libor (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of hardware unit used for acceleration of the process of securing network traffic within Lawful Interception System developed as a part of Sec6Net project. First aim of the thesis is the analysis of available security mechanisms commonly used for securing network traffic. Based on this analysis, SSH protocol is chosen as the most suitable mechanism for the target system. Next, the thesis aims at introduction of possible variations of acceleration unit for SSH protocol. In addition, the thesis presents a detailed design description and implementation of the unit variation based on AES-GCM algorithm, which provides confidentiality, integrity and authentication of transmitted data. The implemented acceleration unit reaches maximum throughput of 2,4 Gbps.

Web-Based Application Vulnerability Testing
Bendík, Lukáš ; Barabas, Maroš (referee) ; Koranda, Karel (advisor)
Goal of the thesis is to provide an overview of most common vulnerabilities occurring in web-based applications and methods, which are used for testing them. With each vulnerability there is given a description, example and methods of securing the applications against it. The thesis also introduces automatic tools, which are used for web-based application vulnerability testing. As a part of thesis, there was implemented an web-based application with embedded vulnerabilities. On this application it is possible to put to test the theoretical methods of testing along with automated tools dedicated for this purpose.
