Past, Present and Future of Poetry Slam

The aim of the master thesis The Past, Present and Future of Poetry Slam is to describe the history and origin of this performative genre and characterize its poetics, describe the course and rules of competitions and introduce the Czech slam scene. In the practical part, the aim is to prove the didactic potential of poetry slam as a motivation for self-creation of poetry among teenagers. The research will be conducted in the form of interviews with selected respondents.

The Magazine Živel a nd alternative cultural scene

This bachelor thesis analyses the Czech cult magazine Živel during the 2009-2012 period. Živel was established almost twenty years (in 1995) and has a complicated controversial reputation. This thesis focuse on evolution of magazine with regard to history, topics and the cultural atmosphere. The work concerns with journalistic specifics of Živel in context of new journalism. The magazine is strongly linked to alternative culture and subcultures, so this topic is also included as well as a description of visual perspective.
