This bachelor‘s thesis seeks to clarify and describe modern methods of measuring a liquid level. The topic is discussed from several points of view, from which the emphasis was put on the division according to usage in hydropower. Moreover, this thesis portrays the fundamental principles of hydroelectric power plants and sensors used in them.
Hospital capacity planning by evolutionary algorithms

This thesis deals with optimization of hospital resources using evolution algorithms. It reviews the existing knowledge of general optimization with description of basic and modern methods. It also describes a simulator and simulation enviroment that was developed for the problem as a tool to solve one of the GECCO conference problems. The paper concludes with the actual optimization process using several algorithms and comparison of the suitability of the selected methods.
