Self-organization of Czech librarians from the 1990s to the present

(in English): The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of association, interest and self-help activities of Czech librarians and librarians from the 1990s to the present. The aim of the thesis is to map the historical development and activities of selected library associations against the background of milestones that have shaped the current form of contemporary Czech librarianship and the associated transformation of the library profession. Attention is paid not only to the best-known associations directly involved in library reforms, but also to informal groups without an organisational structure, which emerged in support of a particular library project or whose activities significantly influenced both the developments in library circles and the perception of the library profession in the eyes of the public. Through a method of historical analysis of sources and a selection of key activities, the influence of voluntary library organisations on the development and transformation of librarianship, including their usefulness to librarians and information workers themselves, is demonstrated in predefined time periods. A final assessment of the association's activities emerges from an overall analysis of all the documents examined. The mapping of these activities is limited to the territory of Bohemia...

Collectivization of Agriculture: Example of the Village Veltěže

Anotation This bachelor's thesis concentrates on a description of general trends of collectivization and their reflection on the example of small village Veltěže village in Louny district. The thesis is a micro probe, which shows the practical sides of realization the proces of collectivization in people's democratic Czechoslovakia. Every chapter of the thesis firstly deals with the proces of collectivization from the general point of view and then it describes the individual problems which are related to this process in the chosen region. There is also a description of the process which leads to formation of jednotné zemědělské družstvo (United Agricultural Cooperative), and also the fight against the farmers, who denied the entry into JZD. On the example of the village Veltěže there is described the running of local JZD, the supression against local huge farms and the positions of other citizens to the process of collectivization. The thesis especially works with archive materials.

Action Kulak in District of Louny and Its General Assumption

Anotation The thesis concentrates on a description of the action Kulak, focusing on the region Louny with an explanation of the general trends of the collectivization of agriculture. The goal of this work is to show different problems of the action Kulak by thorough analysis of whole course of events. These problems appeared as far as in final period between 1949-1953. Last chapter sketches the diversity of forced resettlement with describing life stories of the individual farmers. The work is micro-probe in proces of forcible resettlement of farmer's families from year 1951 to 1953. The thesis covers historical circumstances of the action Kulak and gains primarily from archive files.

Pupils? Ideas about Fractions

The aim of my work will be finding out pupils' ideas about fractions. I will choose children who have no experince or just small experience with the fractions from school. My work will be made of two main parts. The first one will be concentrated on the experiments, their recording and taking notes, but mainly on the analysis of solution to problems by children. This part will consist as a side issue utilization the aids for teaching the fractions.
