Evaluation of Corporate Performance and Proposals for its Improvement

The master thesis is focused on the performance evalution of company Centropen, a. s. The first part of the thesis contains definitions of performance and individual methods of business performance measurement. The practical part introduces the analyzed company and describes its current situation. Subsequently, the evaluation of the performance of the selected company is done using the START Model questionnaire, which is based on the EFQM Excellence Model. Suggestions and recommendations for improving the current situation are presented in the final part.

Integrated technology for environmentally safe residual plastic waste and sewage sludge disposal

The existing methods of sewage sludge and non-recyclable plastic waste management turn out to be unsatisfactory in long terms. Landfilling of the high-calorific-value wastes will be lim-ited in near future and the potential soil contamination by some of the sewage sludge contents led to several legislation changes in the field of using the sewage slugde in agriculture. The presented thesis aims to find an integrated solution for sewage sludge and plastic waste with a focus on the possibility of phosphorus recovery from the resulting ash. Based on the study of the available separate solutions and relevant legislative regulations, three variants of possible integration were proposed. Subsequently, the basic energy and material balance of these vari-ants were performed using W2E software.

Optimization of the process of pressing balls into the injector body

This thesis is focused on a pressing station as a part of the assembly line in the Bosch Diesel plant in Jihlava. The station provides sealing of a hole in the injector body by ball pressing in. By using several tests the thesis finds out a reason of large amount of waste pieces, checks how can pressing-speed change or lubricant change infuence the pressing process itself and compares capabilities of hydrolic vs. electric pressing machine.

Optimization of Fe2(SO4)3 dosage at selected branched WWTPs in Prague

This bachelor thesis focuses on the optimization of the dosage of the precipitant Fe2(SO4)3 in selected wastewater treatment plant branches. Three such branches, connected to the integrated sewerage system and equipped for stormwater management practices, were observed. The goal of this thesis was to limit the dosage of iron sulfate during periods of heavy rainfall. Restriction in the dosing was implemented by deactivating the iron sulfate pump at times when the hydrodynamic vortex separator was in use. Annual savings for the individual wastewater treatment plants amount to the range of 1,48, 3,68 and 4,01%.

Use of archive aerial photographs for the evalution of landscape changes on example Klatovy cadastral district

This bachelor thesis studies the analysis and assessment of the landscape changes in three time periods during the last about 180 years in the cadastral Klatovy. Time horizons are the years 1837, 1956 and the current condition of the landscape. Evaluation is focused primarily on the development and localization of sprawl wet meadows in the area of interest. The theoretical part is processed as a literature search focused on the history of aerial photography on the territory of today's Czech Republic and its appreciation in the European context. The analysis of land use history and present, preparation of maps and map outputs drawing was done in a geographic information system (GIS) specifically in ArcMap from ESRI.
Subsequently, the processed information was exported in Microsoft Excel.
Created thematic maps and graphs are listed in the Annexes to this work.
