The Graphic Style of Tabloids - The Visual Presentation of Tabloid Information in the Printed Media

The diploma thesis The Graphic Style of Tabloids - The Visual Presentation of Tabloid Information in the Printed Media focuses on analyzing the graphic design of tabloid newspapers in eight European countries: the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark. The aim of the study is to identify the most commonly used forms of visual presentation of tabloid information in these countries and to determine the key characteristics that differentiate the graphic design of tabloid newspapers among the individual states. The research employs a qualitative comparative research method, with the sample consisting of tabloid newspapers from each analyzed country. The theoretical part summarizes the fundamentals of typography and color theory, alongside the results of an eye-tracking study and information about newspaper dimensions. These pieces of information are then utilized in the second part of the study, where newspapers from the research sample are analyzed and compared among different typological groups. Special attention is given to the graphic design of articles, front pages, and logos of the respective newspapers. Legal aspects of the position of the municipality in the role of a public guardian

The aim of the thesis is to analyse legal aspects of the position of the municipality in the role of a public guardian and on a practical example introduce the issue of establishing a municipality as a public guardian. Furthermore, using a quantitative survey to find a possible alternative of a financing public guardianship, which would be positively accepted by municipalities. The issue of public guardianship is currently becoming a much debated topic not only because of the lack of legislation governing the institute of public guardianship, but also because the financing of this agenda towards municipalities acting as public guardian is insufficient and unsatisfactory for municipalities.
Local Self-Government Authorities

Municipalities are basic territorial units which manage its finances and assets. The state can control their activities if it is only required by law. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to comprehensively and clearly describe responsibilities of the local self-government authorities, accountability of elected representatives and political officials. At the same time, the power of the community with tended powers is compared with the community with the designated authority. The practical research is based on definitions of local self-government means, its historical development, further territorial - administrative division, and main local self-government authorities. This part consists of powers of communities and their functions, as well. A questionnaire is used for the practical research. It compares groups of municipalities with delegate and separates powers of community and finds out the differences between them. The results of the research show if the scope of delegate power is sufficient or not.
Problems of Nurse's Scarcity in Intensive Care

The theoretical part deals with the work of nurse in intensive care, the problem of nurse's scarcity and stabilization measures of general nurses. The main objective of this work was to map out the problem of nurse's scarcity in intensive care. Another aim was to find out whether the scarcity of nurses in intensive care has an effect on the quality of nursing care and how nurses react to the measures of securing the stabilization of nurses. Information were collected on the basis of two questionnaire surveys. The first form of questionnaire was intended to matrons and the second form was addressed to nurses working in intensive care. The research file was consisted of 8 matrons and 84 nurses from two faculty hospitals in Prague. From results analysis of respondents was confirmed hypothesis No. 1: Problems of nurse's scarcity in intensive care are still actual and the number of nurses is low. Hypothesis No. 2: Scarcity of nurses in intensive care has a considerable impact on the quality of nursing care and hypothesis No. 3: Nurses have problems with maintaining quality of patients care in intensive care. Presently a number of people who need to replace disabled knee-joint for artificial one is rising. The issue of a client{\crq}s awareness about necessity to keep the supportive measures would deserve much more attention. The theoretical framework deals with the post-operation care for a patient following a complete knee-joint replacement operation and the issue of the patient{\crq}s awareness, which is considered an important one in nursing nowadays. From results of research ensued that nurse's role is very important for patients' awareness about postoperative care after complet knee-joint replacement. A nurse should be an active part and should give the relevant informations to patients about postoperative care so that the stage of therapy will be without complications.
