Wind load on truss high-rise structures

This Bachelor´s thesis concerns wind load effects on truss high-rise structure. The aim is to describe response of lattice tower on effects of mean wind load, fluctuations and vortex shedding action. Further problem includes an influence of rime on aerodynamic characteristics of profiles. The structure is performed by means of computing software ANSYS. In the theoretical part there are procedures describing how to determine load on structure and basic theory of calculation. Then the applied part follows the theoretical one and describes operations in ANSYS.

Design of prestressed bridge near Nitra

This Master’s thesis concerns a design of the highway bridge over Nitra River in Nitra, Slovakia. Three variants were designed from which one was selected and analyzed in detail. It is a three box cell girder made of post-tensioned concrete and constructed as a free cantilever bridge. The bridge is assessed according to Eurocodes. The limit states for persistent and transient design situations were taken into account at carrying out the design. There are drawings attached to this thesis as illustrative drawings of the bridge and its construction stages, drawings of the prestress tendons and reinforcement.

This thesis deals with enviromental education in CHKO Třeboňsko. The aim of thesis is to create educational materials, that... Educational materials are intended for pupils of 6th and 7th grade of elementary schools. The author uses activating teaching methods such as games and competitons. In theoretical part are defined curricular documents aimed to cross sectional theme of enviromental education. Furthermore the author deals with the protection of nature and landscape and the characteristics of the territory of Třeboň. The practical part contains teaching materials for teachers, which the author designed and realized with pupils. Educational materials include ecosystem pond, forest, meadow, river, peat bog and sandpit.

Geography of knowledge sources in knowledge intensive business services and creative industries: the case study of design industry This thesis examines the creation and transfer of knowledge within knowledge-intensive business services and creative industries, with special attention being paid to the design industry. To obtain the required information it was implemented a series of in-depth interviews with representatives of selected design studios. Acquired knowledge provides in- depth probe into the issue of creation and transmission of knowledge and the nature of innovation in the design industry. The main finding is that for the creation and transfer of knowledge within the design industry existence of networks between the design studios and specific subjects is essential. Relationships between family and primary school

The presented bachelor's thesis describes the relationship between a family and a primary school in a small town. The theoretical part focuses on the explanation of following terms: family and its types and functions, development of a child of early school age, school and its functions, primary school education, relationship between a family and a school, powers and responsibilities of family and school, position of parents with respect to school, cooperation of family and school and its forms and communication between family and school. The goal of the practical part is to carry out a research in a form of a semi-structured interview between primary grade teachers of a basic school and the pupils´ parents. The aim of the qualitative research is to find the common features of the cooperation, its benefits, the position of parents with respect to school and vice versa and influence of the parents on the educational process of the school.

The use of suitable biotope for teaching fundamentals of ecology - project

This bachelor thesis is focused on the use of "MEADOW BIOTOPE" in the education of ecology in the primary schools. Thesis consists of research of species is carried out in the chosen locality. After that, we put the analysis of the chosen textbooks of natural history for 6th and 7th grade of the primary schools. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to create the project for 7th grade which will serve as a verification and fixing of discussed schoolwork. Within of purview of this project, the students are doing the fieldwork in the chosen locality. With the aid of the worksheets and the environmental games, they are checking the acquired knowledge by the amusing form of education.

Analysis of the distribution of gambling businesses in the town of Cheb using GIS tools

The thesis analyzes the distribution of gambling in the town of Cheb, using GIS tools. This work follows the development and distribution of business regulation aimed at gambling in the city and identifies the problem sites. The theoretical part is first discussed the issue of types of gaming device and development of legislation dealing with gambling regulation in the Czech Republic. The are also outlined possibilities for municipalities to regulace gambling within thein territory. This knowledge is then applied to the town. An important part of the thesis are mpas that ilustrate the evolution og regulation of gambling in the town of Cheb in the years 2002 ? 2012, and also maps showing the current dyployment of gambling businesses in 2011 ? 2012.
