The bachelor thesis deals with sheet metal forming and it is focused on basic work, drawing - dimpling. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to design a forming tool for making the cover sheet of the specified air conditioning. There was conducted an experiment to eliminate an undesirable deformation of the flange of the cover.
Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics in Structural Dynamics
Hušek, Martin ; Králik,, Juraj (referee) ; Maňas,, Pavel (referee) ; Kala, Jiří (advisor)
The focus of the thesis is on the application of the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) method in structural dynamics with an emphasis on usage of quasi-brittle materials. The first part is focused on the introduction, history, and theoretical background of SPH. Numerical examples in which strengths and weaknesses of SPH are shown follow. In addition to pure SPH models, several coupling approaches with the Finite Element Method (FEM) are also discussed. After the introduction of SPH, the focus is on quasi-brittle materials and their reinforced variants. The numerical concept and mathematical background of the Continuous Surface Cap Model are outlined, several benchmarks are presented. Strain-rate effects and their impact on pure SPH and coupled SPH-FEM models are evaluated next. In this section, the author proposes a new approach for SPH models reinforcement with FEM beam elements. The coupling approach was named sublayer coupling and shows a potential in simulations while the SPH tensile instability is alleviated. Since concrete is often associated with heterogeneity and very specific material structure, a unique algorithm for concrete structure generation in combination with SPH is proposed in the next chapter. The concept is based on utilization of coherent noise functions which can bring a variability to numerical models. It has been proved that the algorithm is robust, stable, and easy to implement into the SPH framework. With regard to that, the so-called numerical heterogeneity, a concept of parameters variability implementation, is introduced together with examples. The last part of the thesis is dedicated to the application of SPH in real experiments. The first experiment focuses on a high velocity impact. The second experiment deals with an explosion in which the focus is on both the loaded specimen and charge. Since SPH simulates the explosive, detonation products, and the loaded specimen, it is a fully coupled fluid-structure interaction simulation.
Proposal for the production of variants of flat sheet metal parts with holes
Fabík, Pavel ; Hušek, Martin (referee) ; Špaček, Jindřich (advisor)
FABÍK Pavel: Proposal for the production of variants of flat sheet metal parts with holes The project elaborated in frame of bachelor’s study branch B2307-00 submits a design of technology components from sheet metal with holes - parts of steel 11 320.1 (specified by INGE Opava). On the basis of literary study problems of production of the components were designed and compared two methods of production. Cutting on the combined cutter attached to the double-stand hydraulic press type Tleff (designed by KIT Invest Ltd. for the Trading) witch 4000 kN pressing power. The cut parts of cutting tool are made of material 19 312 (as designed by Brano). Laser cutting is done on a machine AMADO FO-3015 (in the company Dender).
Forming Technology of Thin Sheets
Vymazal, Aleš ; Hušek, Martin (referee) ; Dvořák, Milan (advisor)
The presentation of bachelor thesis deals with the thin metal sheet technology of forming for rotary and non rotary shapes. The focus is on knowledge transfer from the foreign literature. Selected formulas were compared for a given sample of steel 17240.
London Eye
Hušek, Martin ; Hradil, Petr (referee) ; Zídek, Rostislav (advisor)
Performance of static analysis of the London Eye structure is the subject of this diploma thesis. First chapters of the thesis analyses overview of realized structures of the Ferris wheel. The main part of the thesis analyses the London Eye structure itself. Specifically are described response analyses, sensitivity analyses, analyses of ultimate limit state and serviceability, stress analyses, analyses of fatigue stress and lifetime analyses. The thesis describes among static analysis also a design of dynamic vibration absorbers. The results of each analysis are evaluated in the final chapters.
Steel Structure Analysis
Nováková, Ľubica ; Hušek, Martin (referee) ; Zídek, Rostislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis is engaged by analyses of steel structure. Structure was modelled in two variants, in software ANSYS Mechanical. Both models were at first counted by linear analyses, then they were counted by non-linear analyses. At the end models were counted by modal analyses. Aim of the study was evaluated and decide, which one of variant is structurally and economically most competently. Selected model was assessed on ultimate and serviceability limit state.
The manufacturing of coating metal sheet part
Sykáček, Jiří ; Hušek, Martin (referee) ; Císařová, Michaela (advisor)
SYKÁČEK Jiří: Production of a sheet metal part with a surface finish This project, elaborated as a part of my B2307 bachelor studies, has been compiled on the basis of a customer requirement to produce a battery cover exposed to an increased corrosion risk. It deals with the production technology of the part using various sheet metal materials of different surface finish. The most suitable solution has been found in using a cutting and a bending press. The chosen production method has been evaluated with regard to technological difficulties connected to processing thus modified sheet metal as well as with regard to economical cost of the production. Forming processes have been executed using a TRUMPF TC200R cutting press, having a nominal shearing force of 165 kN, and URSVIKEN Optiflex bending press, having a nominal pressing force of 1300 kN. Forming tools are optimally chosen according to the parameters of individual types of sheet metal. At the end the project evaluated the most convenient material to produce this part.
Manufacturing of Shaped Holes into Stamped Metal Sheet
Bartusek, Břetislav ; Hušek, Martin (referee) ; Dvořák, Milan (advisor)
The aim of bachelor thesis is a proposal of a new technology for manu-facturing of shaped holes into stamped metal sheets. The sheets are made of stainless steel DIN 1.4301 of thickness 0.8 mm. Square holes will be punched into a half-finished metal sheet with pre-pressed lengthwise stamps where elastic-plastic deformations occur. On the basis of study of the sheet metal forming technology, technological calculations and the machine adaptation, a new technology is proposed. The new technology is unassuming both with respect to machinery and tool equipment in a mechanical engineering factory. Also it enables solutions of dimensionally variable die stampings with stamps in higher quality for minimum costs. As the forming machine a punching press, model LDR 25-A, was chosen.
Production of form-parts by cutting
Tomášková, Veronika ; Hušek, Martin (referee) ; Dvořák, Milan (advisor)
The thesis elaborated in a master's degree programme Manufacturing Technology and Management in Industry proposes a technology for cutting form parts. The part is made of steel EN S235JRG1 (ČSN 41 1373) with 3 mm thickness. Based on literature review with a respect to yearly volume of production (100 000 pcs/year) and surface quality has been designed new technology of fineblanking for manufacturing of the part. For the technology of fineblanking have been made technological analysis and the tool has been design regarding to the chosen fineblanking press Feintool X-TRA 320. The conclusion of the thesis deals with technical-economical evaluation of manufacturing process and also has been compared the price of the part using unconventional production technology.
