The women's criminality in Prague in 1918-1938.

In his bachelor thesis, the author will focus on the prosecution and description of the form of female crime in Prague during the First Czechoslovak Republic and its reflection in the daily press. The research will be based mainly on the aforementioned contemporary (mostly Prague) press, on the basis of which the author will try to reconstruct the form and phenomena of female crime and to generally categorize it. The author will also focus on the social structure of female offenders, namely on their origin and age, and further also on the type and manner of committing the crime, its location, investigation, and punishment in the interwar period. The author will try to find and describe in more detail the cases of criminal activity of women that are typical for the examined place and period. When trying to get a closer look into the issue itself and when describing the form and functioning of the police, gendarmerie, criminal law, judiciary, prostitution, press and the Prague during the First Czechoslovak Republic, the author will draw mainly from academic literature Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
