The diploma thesis "Bram Stoker and Sheridan LeFanu: An Analysis of their Irish Horror Fiction" deals with the analysis of the varied aspects linked with the themes of horror stories of two Irish writers. Both writers, Joseph Sheridan LeFanu and Bram Stoker, were Protestants from Dublin whose works are renowned worldwide. An emphasis is made on the study of Gothic settings and the aim of the thesis is to specifically find and to analyze characteristic elements of Gothic fiction of these authors. This thesis is concerned with Bram Stoker´s Dracula (1897) and also with the story "Dracula´s Guest". It will analyse short stories such as the novella Carmilla and also "The Familiar" by Joseph Sheridan LeFanu.

The bachelor thesis is about selected personnel activities in multinational company, specifically hiring, choosing, leaving and fluctuation of employees. The paper is divided into literary overview and individual work. The literary overview consists of general description of activities linked with hiring, choosing, leaving and fluctuation of employees. The goal of this work is contained in the individual work part, where the strong and weak points were identified based on analysis of personnel processes. Based on the findings, conclusions and recommendations for better process were formulated.
Foreigners' children's perception staying in the Czech Republic - aimed towards the Vietnamese community

The issue of foreigners' children's perception staying in the Czech Republic for the long term is the theme of this thesis. It deals with the influence of different origins to an individual's identity and also what kind of role plays the individual's personality and his history of his family. The aim of the thesis is to describe the whole process of adapting and incorporating into the cultural and social environment of the Czech Republic. The thesis focuses on the differences in family customs, lifestyle changes and the change of children's identity versus their parents and grandparents. The basic concepts and their reciprocal relationships are explained in the theoretical section. The practical section is aimed towards qualitative research, using methods of questioning and interview techniques with the examined persons on this topic.
Analysis of the relations in the Polish-Czech and Czech-Austrian cross-border cooperation

Work will focus on the comparison of the relations within the Czech-Polish and Czech-Austrian borders. Research of the views on individual operational programs is based on a questionnaire survey among representatives of the Euroregion, members of the Euroregions and existing applicants in the operational programs of cross-border cooperation. The work includes a summary of projects submitted in the new programming period 2007 - 2013. In addition to comparing the views of individual actors in cooperative work, it focuses on the general comparison of the Czech-Austrian and Czech-Polish border cooperation. The theme is the history of cooperation between border regions in Western Europe and its enlargement, promotion of the cross-border structures by the European Union, the beginnings of cooperation in the Czech Republic and a brief history of borderlands. Given that the work deals with the comparison in terms of Euroregions, part is also paid to individual euroregions in the Czech Republic.
