This bachelor thesis deals with the genetic disease of hip dysplasia in dogs. It describes how the disease manifests itself, how to prevent it, and how to diagnose it. The practical part analyzes the influence of breed, age, and gender on the disease. 90 dogs of 42 breeds were included in the study, and the dogs were divided into groups according to FCI due to low representation of dogs in individual breeds. Crossbreeds were found to be the least susceptible to the disease, followed by setters (average finding of 0/1 and 1/0 for hip dysplasia). The age at which hip joint problems occur most frequently is during the puppy stage, around 3-5 months of age (16.2% of the dogs observed). The influence of gender on the disease was not proven. Of all obser-ved dogs, most individuals had the degree of hip dysplasia 0/0 (21.6%), followed by 2/0-0/2 (11.7%). From this data, it can be concluded that the observed sample had more dogs with lower degrees of hip dysplasia.

Impacts of supervision on resilience of helpline workers

The diploma thesis: "Impacts of supervision on resilience of helpline workers" presents the results of case study focused on particular helpline, the case of which is the impact of supervision on workers feeling themselves comfortable with their professional roles on helpline. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the key concepts of resilience and supervision, and presents the general characteristic of helplines, the method of telephone crisis intervention and the social service of telephone crisis assistance. The empirical part of the thesis explains the context of the particular helpline which was the subject of case study. The main topic of the research is: mastering of helpline workers of their professional roles and the influence of supervision on its changes in time. The research captures the changes of perception of supervision and of its effect on helpline workers dealing with their professional roles.

Giuseppe Verdi: "Don Carlos" - opera complex scenographic project

This bachelor’s thesis aims to find complex scenographic solution of Don Carlos opera composed by Italian author Giuseppe Verdi. Apart from my own creative solution I also present theoretical chapters of authors biography, relation to his work and I compare several Don Carlos productions by Josef Jelínek who designed six unique costume variations.
During process of making the set design I came up with lots of topics to think about. I chose freedom as main topic by studying past productions, libretto and musical part. This topic is one of the key elements of the creative solution and therefore I defined it further in part of this thesis. I am also looking for artistic ways that would be the most suitable and adequate for the opera, musical-dramatic genre, in which music could be more important than libretto. I am trying to find connections to contemporary society and keep the story up to date.
