PhDr. Jan Šiška, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: Dissertation thesis entitled Ethics in practise of personal assistants responds to the difficulties of ethical behaviour of personal assistants and focuses on ethics, code of ethics and ethical dilemmas of personal assistance from the perspective of personal assistants / employees in social services. The aim of this dissertation thesis is to examine the level of knowledge of the ethical code in the profession of personal assistants. We have identified approaches of personal assistants in solving ethical dilemmas in their practise. The focus is on the usability of the ethical code in dealing with ethical dilemmas arising from the profession of personal assistant. Dissertation represents the results of the combined research strategy. The quantitative part of the research based on a survey (105 questionnaires completed by personal assistants). The qualitative part of the research is based on interviews with five personal assistants. Respondents have proven more a theoretical knowledge than a practical usage of ethical code.
