Mythology and Interpretation of Kim Sakkat's Poetry

The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the mythology of the character of the Korean poet Kim Sakkat and his poetic work. The thesis is divided into two main parts, the first part deals with the historical background of Kim Sakkat's life, his depiction in the novel The Poet and in one other book, his popularity today and in North Korea. It also discusses korean poetry written in chinese, so called hansi, written by Kim Sakkat, its development throughout history and its form. The second part of this thesis deals with the interpretation of his poetic work, while paying closer attention to its normative deviations and then to his scenic and other poetry.
