Analysis of life insurance market in Czech republic

In this bachelor's thesis I analyze life insurance market in the Czech Republic, which will be examined from several points of view. In the beggining I focus on historical development of Czech insurance market, which was very specific and led to the shape of the market as we know it nowadays. This is followed by analysis of individual life insurance products, that are available. In the main part of the thesis I focus on the analysis of the insurance market itself through chosen indicators, that make it possible to better understand actual trends on Czech insurance market. In this part of my thesis I also compare Czech insurance market to the insurance markets in European Union. In the end of my thesis I analyze prices of individual life insurance products in chosen insurance companies operating on the Czech insurance market.
Illegal activities in banking sector

Bachelor´s thesis is devoted to the problem of illegal activity in the banking sector, specifically to the chosen issue of money laundering. First part is dedicated to the theoretical assignation of the phenomenon of money laundering and the actual situation and trends in banking. The following parts are focused on fundaments of international law and different forms of appliacation of risk-based approach in combating money laundering troughout the individual chosen coutntries.
Analysis of Systemically Important Italian Banks and the overall stability of the banking sector

The subject of the diploma thesis "Analysis of Systemically Important Italian Banks and the overall stability of the banking sector" is the analysis of the current situation and the latest developments in the Italian banking sector with a focus on systemically important institutions. The first part describes the general state of current banking in Italy after the global crisis, including a brief historical introduction and pre-crisis development. It provides information on entity and ownership structure, capital adequacy and liquidity, and the overall structure of assets and liabilities of the sector. Particular attention is paid to the problem of non-performing loans and the impact on banks' profitability. The second part begins with the definition of systemically important banks and focuses on the analysis of individual banks with an emphasis on those systemically important. In the bank's stability and health assessment, the development of the portfolios of non-performing loans is highlighted. The final part of the thesis deals with the summary of Italian banking problems and assesses the stability of the sector in the context of the euro area.
Accident insurance on the Czech insurance market

The theme of this thesis is Accident insurance on the Czech insurance market. This thesis is divided into five parts. The first part is dedicated to the characteristics of accident insurance and definitions. First part of the thesis also includes statistical data on injuries. The second part concerns market research and the possibility to sign accident insurance on-line. The third part focuses on specific offers of accident insurance for two selected insurance companies. The fourth part compares model of accident insurance according to the on-line and official calculators of insurance companies. In the fifth part, statistical data show the situation on the Czech insurance market and its progress in recent years. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the Czech insurance market in the field of accident insurance and to compare the offer of accident insurance between selected insurance companies.
Consumer loan and its regulation

The bachelor thesis deals with consumer loans from regulatory and practical point of view which is described by examples of current range of banking and non-bank providers operating on the Czech financial market. The main objective of the thesis is the comparison to determine the financial advantage of the selected providers and to point out changes relating to the new Consumer Loan Act. In theoretical part I also define the basic concepts related to the chosen topic.
System of Financial Market Guarantee Funds in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis examines the Financial Market Guarantee System in the Czech Republic and its funds. It aims to describe and analyse how the system works, describe its history and development as well as its legislative establishment in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part describes both funds - Deposit Insurance fund and Resolution fund. Description contains competence and relevance of those funds, European regulation and system of contributing. Practical part calculates contributions of two Czech different sized banks to the Deposit Insurance fund and to the Resolution fund. Those illustrative contributions seem to be quite realistic. The thesis also deals with the ability of the system to help banks or other institutions in financial problems, this ability is very limited. Practical analysis also mentions the possibility of reducing the contribution.
An Analysis of the Factors Affecting Credit Risk in Personal Lending

This thesis takes up the issue of consumer loans credit risk. It aims to identify factors that influence the likelihood of default during the repayment of bank retail products. Theoretical part is focused on the theory of bank loans, credit risk together with its regulation within the Basel guidelines and a description of the most commonly used statistical methods for the creation of scoring models. In the practical part, logistic regression parameter estimates are used on real set, the main features linking loans in default are examined and their impact on the proportion of bad loans in the portfolio is measured.
Analysis of mortgages and comparison of their costs

The thesis Analysis of mortgages and comparison of their costs is focused on mortgage financing in the Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis is to investigate possibilities of real property financing in Czech Republic and compare them. At the beginning it presents basic characteristic of different types of financial products used in real estate financing, its development in recent years and its conditions of provision. Next part describes the process of acquiring mortgage loan and all of its advantages and disadvantages. The last part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of individual banks, real examples of mortgage loans. Thesis also offers comparison of some Czech and Russian financial products and example of finding the best conditions for clients
Analysis of the approaches of Central and Eastern European countries towards their membership in the Banking union

The goal of this thesis is to analyze the approaches of countries in Central and Eastern European region towards their membership in the Banking Union. The selected topic has been investigated based on structural characteristics of the banking sectors of the impacted countries. The comparison of these characteristics resulted in identification of inconsistencies between the 2 standpoints (Opt-in and Opt-out). The thesis monitors the motivation of banks in choosing or changing the legal form of 'their' banks in host markets. The work identifies areas in which the host government can act to prevent banks from converting into branches, thus retaining the regulatory powers in local authorities. The thesis in the first 2 chapters maps the first and the second pillar of the Banking Union, Single Supervisory Mechanism and the Single Resolution Mechanism respectively. Furthermore, it summarizes the results of the European Central Bank in carrying out the Comprehensive Assessment exercise.

This thesis mainly deals with the regulation and supervision of the banking system. It examines the reasons and aims of regulation, banking supervision institutions, position of the Czech National Bank and the scope of their powers to domestic banks and other financial institutions in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to identify and present topical information on the current manner and degree of regulation and supervision, law methods of regulating activities, exploration of the latest changes and trends in the sphere of regulation and supervision in the Czech Republic and EU influence.
