The role of women's rights in the US intervention in Afghanistan

The thesis concerns women's rights and their role in the U.S. military intervention in Afghanistan from 2001-2021. The first part focuses on the historical events of the twentieth century that shaped women's rights in Afghanistan. The second focuses on the U.S.' military intervention in terms of the gender reforms implemented on the territory of Afghanistan. The third part examines the rights of Afghan women during the U.S. military intervention. And the last part provides an analysis of the factors that influenced the effectiveness of the gender reforms in Afghanistan.
Court decisions on costs in civil procedure

The object of this thesis is to capture the issue of court decisions on costs of civil proceeding. The purpose of the work is to take possible solutions whose application could lead to subsequent improvement of courts'desicions on costs and simplifying the decision making process. Furthermore, legislation in the Czech Republic is beeing analyzed. Apart from that, the thesis deals itself with the basic principles of decisions on the costs supported by case law which can be applied in judicial practice. Attention is also focused on theoretical questions of costs - the types of costs, the issue of legal fees, compensation of costs, decision making process, procedural economy and the bill of costs. Apart from that the subject of my interest are specific cases from practice courts, which are legally interesting or controversial. In addition to that, I pursue the field of legal aid, which is compared with its equivalents in the Federal Republic of Germany and Slovak Republic.
Influence of education on diet adjustment and composition in obese patients without diabetes mellitus and with diagnosis of diabetes mellitus

This bachelor thesis deals with the connection between incorrectly adjusted nutrition, obesity and the values of glycemia and glycated hemoglobin. Aim: The aim of this thesis is to confirm the effect of nutritional education on diet modification, and thus on weight reduction and body composition adjustment in obese individuals with diagnosis of diabetes mellitus and without diagnosis of diabetes mellitus. Methods: For the purposes of the research were selected clients of Centrum výživy s.r.o. situated in Prague 2 with overweight or obesity. The total research group consisted of 42 probands, 32 women and 10 men. All of them were older than 18 years have BMI above 24,9 kg/m2 . Initially, all probands were subjected to bioelectrical impedance analysis on a Tanita BC-418 MA to analyse body composition and actual body weight. Subsequently, the waist circumference was measured with 150 cm long tape. Laboratory testing was performed on all probands. During the 60-minute long consultation were discussed probands current eating habits and their current healt situation, physical acitivity and prefered foods were obtained using a questionnaire survey. Based on this informations were made nutrition recommendations for each of the probands, which he has to follow for next 6 moths. Once a month were performer...

The subject of this Bachelor Thesis is a commented translation of selected chapters of the book "Bin ich normal, wenn ich mich im Konzert langweile?", published in 2004 in Cologne. It was written by a German musicologist Christiane Tewinkel, whose aim is to clarify the principles of classical music to the general public. This Thesis consists of two parts. The first one comprises the translation of the German text into Czech. The second part consists of a translation analysis of the text based on the model of Christiane Nord. The following chapter includes the translation method and approach based on Jiří Levý. Further, the solutions to translation problems on lexical, morphological, syntactical and pragmatic level are stated. The final chapter deals with the typology of translation shifts invented by Anton Popovič.
