The main trends in BI: Self-service analytics tools

This Bachelor Thesis is focused on Self-Service Business Intelligence (SSBI) as one of the most important trends in the world of Business Intelligence (BI). The work also describes other important trends in this area, provides readers with the overview of the general architecture of BI and defines the main features by which the BI tool can be classified as a self-service category using reports of analytical companies. One of the aims of this thesis is to analyze the market with self-service analytical tools. Two different studies from well-known analysts were used to achieve the most objective result. The bachelor thesis is structured so that the introduction includes the definition and the reason for the selection of the topic, sets the objectives and describes the methods that allow these goals to be fulfilled. Among other things, the introduction includes the review of professional literature related to the topic of this thesis, as well as the description of the structure, existing assumptions and limitations of the bachelor thesis. Another block includes theoretical background which is necessary to achieve the goals set. It contains chapters describing the concept of BI and its components, characterizing SSBI, and discloses the advantages and disadvantages of this approach. After defining all the important concepts, the thesis discusses today's BI trends. The last block analyzes the world market with self-service BI analytics tools. Subsequently, the results of the analysis are evaluated and the conclusions of the whole work are determined.
