Elistratova, Elena ; Bret, Ondřej (referee) ; Okřinová, Petra (advisor)
This thesis focuses on accessibility and the analysis of barriers in a specific part of the city. It is divided into two parts – theoretical and practical. The theoretical part provides a detailed explanation of concepts such as barriers, accessibility, disability, and the requirements of Decree No. 398/2009, which establishes general technical standards for ensuring barrier-free use of buildings. It introduces fundamental possibilities for utilizing smart city elements applicable to the addressed type of area. The practical part is dedicated to the barrier-free assessment of the designated area and subsequent proposal for improvement in poorly designed locations. Additionally, the thesis proposes a barrier-free park as a meeting place without limitations, aiming to enhance the attractiveness of the studied area with an emphasis on improving the quality of life in the given territory. The proposal also includes the implementation of smart city technologies.
