Liu Binyan and reflection about the political system in China

The following bachelor thesis focuses on two literary reportages (texie) "Between People and Monsters" (Ren yao zhi jian 人妖之间, 1979) and "The second type of loyalty" (Di er zhong zhongcheng 第二种忠诚, 1985) by the Chinese journalist and writer Liu Binyan 刘宾雁 (born 1925). The main objective of the thesis is to analyse how Liu Binyan reflects the political situation in PRC after the Cultural Revolution, based on the arguments discussed in the previously mentioned reportages. The aim of the analysis is to find the greatest social issues of the given time period, as perceived by Liu Binayan, as well as discuss the solutions he proposes. Part of the thesis is also aimed at the examination of different approaches to the concept of loyalty, i.e. blind following and loyalty based on inner moral voice. The bachelor thesis also discusses the necessary historical and literary background and provides readers with characteristics of literary reportage.

Chinese pension schemes: reforms and challenges

This thesis covers the development of pension schemes in the People's Republic of China from 1949 until now. The goal is to explain what is the structure of chinese pension schemes, why are the pension schemes divided between rural and urban areas and how are the migrant workers' pension schemes incorporated into the social security system. Furthermore the reforms and challenges of the current pension system are analysed as well as the linkage to the hukou reform and family planning reform.

Activities of CzechTrade agency in selected markets

The goal of this paper is to analyse the activities of CzechTrade agency on the Brazilian and Mexican markets. The first chapter deals with the position of the Czech Republic in international trade and explains the importance of international trade for the Czech Republic. The following section provides information concerning Czech export policy and the institutions founded in order to support Czech export. The next part gives detailed description of CzechTrade agency, its development and provided services. The subsequent two chapters are focused on the description of Brazilian and Mexican markets, involving characteristics of both countries and their economies, as well as their economic relations with the Czech Republic. These two chapters also cover the activities and development of CzechTrade foreign offices in Mexico and Brazil. The final part of the thesis highlights particular projects realized in cooperation with CzechTrade foreign offices and offers a prediction of future development of Brazilian and Mexican markets.
