Preparation for crisis management in Jindřichův Hradec, a.s.

The topic of the thesis is "Crisis preparedness of the Hospital Jindřichův Hradec a.s." The introduction to the theoretical part of the thesis is an introduction to the crisis management of the hospital. The thesis also focuses on the basic concepts used in the field of crisis management and the current legislation in this area. The next topic of the thesis deals with the structure and authorities of the crisis management of the hospital. Because of this topic it was appropriate to include chapters on risk analysis and crisis preparedness of the hospital. At the beginning of the practical part I introduce the Hospital Jindřichův Hradec a.s. from its history to the present. In the practical part I focused on the assessment of the crisis preparedness of the Hospital Jindřichův Hradec a.s. and using SWOT analysis to create procedures to improve the crisis preparedness of the hospital. 1. What are the risks that could lead to a crisis situation? 2. What is the level of crisis preparedness of Jindřichův Hradec Hospital, a.s. for selected crisis situations? To create the research part of the thesis, a SWOT analysis of risks was carried out, where the analysis was used to determine the possible risks and then to evaluate the optimal procedure for dealing with the crisis situation in the Hospital Jindřichův Hradec, a.s. It was found that the Hospital Jindřichův Hradec a.s. is very well prepared for some crisis situations. Through the analysis, it was also found that the hospital can improve its crisis preparedness in case of drug shortages, which was a very topical issue during the pandemic. The results of this work can be used to evaluate whether the Hospital Jindřichův Hradec a.s. is sufficiently prepared for crisis situations. The findings could be useful for improving the hospital's crisis preparedness.

Risks associated with diving and their prevention

The topic of this bachelor thesis is called: "Risks related to diving and their prevention." The theoretical part is mainly focused on health risks which arise during scuba diving and follow-up prevention of the health risks. Furthermore, the following topics are mentioned in the theoretical part: a history of diving, biophysical concepts, and necessary equipment. Because of this topic, it was important to include chapters about first aid, treatment and medical fitness for diving. A reduction of health risks was chosen as the main objective in the practical part. There were created 3 research questions. 1. What is the training of divers? 2. What is currently the prevention of health damage during diving? 3. How can we reduce the risk of health damage? The qualitative research measurements were used for the creation of the research part of this bachelor thesis. A semi-structured interview containing 24 questions was created to get the data. There were 6 divers chosen for the interviews, 3 professional divers and 3 hobby divers. According to the results, it was found that there is a fundamental difference in the knowledge of the divers about this topic. Very often the risks are caused by insufficient preparedness and knowledge of the diver, not handling of the panic and stress, and a wrong reaction. Disobeying of precautions and principles often contributes to that. The results of this bachelor thesis may be helpful in completing education and information of divers, but also medical staff.

Experience with online teaching at lower secondary school

The work deals with the experience of online teaching at the lower secondary school in the English language subject. This is a qualitative research investigation carried out by semi- structured interviews with English language teachers. The work contains authentic testimonies of respondents, experiences and their experience of distance learning in the autumn and winter of 2020. It presents profiles of individual respondents with their quotes. It also discusses the resulting topics such as online teaching in the general sense, where it describes what online teaching means to teachers as a concept, what they imagine underneath, etc. It lists the main circumstances that may have influenced online teaching, from a teacher's point of view. The work is provided with a theoretical framework that mainly approximates the role of communication in online teaching, the motivation of pupils to learn and also presents the results of other research investigations already carried out into distance learning. The main research questions are: how teachers experienced online teaching; what positive and negative aspects were brought about by online teaching in the eyes of teachers; what behavioural or attitude changes were shown by pupils in the online environment in the eyes of the teacher. A semi-structured interview containing 15 questions was created to get the data. There were 15 divers chosen for the interviews, 5 professional divers and 5 hobby divers. According to the results, it was found that there is a fundamental difference in the knowledge of the divers about this topic. Very often the risks are caused by insufficient preparedness and knowledge of the diver, not handling of the panic and stress, and a wrong reaction.
