In Corpore sano, mens sana? Juli Zeh's Corpus Delicti (2009) and the current Corona discourses in Germany and the Czech Republic
Talácková, Barbora ; Charvát, Filip (advisor) ; Zbytovský, Štěpán (referee)
The book Corpus Delicti by Juli Zeh, published in 2009, has become very relevant and much discussed with the appearance of the Covid pandemic. The media often uses words such as "prophetic" and "visionary" because the book describes themes and events that are too reminiscent of the realities during the pandemic. This work analyzes the work and the political system it describes, along with its jurisprudence and positions in society. It also reconstructs the discourses of freedom and security in the 21st century and the Corona discourses related to them. Subsequently, a comparison of Corpus Delicti and the Corona discourses is made, focusing mainly on differences and parallels between the political systems.
Efektivní velikost světlosběrných antén a její význam pro regulaci fotosyntézy
CHARVÁT, Filip
Nonphotochemical quenching and state transitions are an important photoprotective mechanism against excessive irradiation. In this work I studied changes in the size of the effective crosssection of photosystem II antennae in regard to the level of nonphotochemical quenching (state transitions) under different levels of light induced stress.
Application of fluorescent methods for studing light harvesting function of photosynthetical antenae in cyanobacteria
CHARVÁT, Filip
Measurement of variable chlorophyll fluorescence is an useful method for photosynthesis research. In this work, I have adjusted FRRF (Fast Repetition Rate Fluorescence) method for studing photoprotective mechanisms in cyanobacteria. I used FRRF for testing specific cyanobacteria mutants with changed phycobilisome composition.
