Parameters of forest roads earth structures

This work deals with finding the actual dimensions of forest roads, earthworks on LS Kácov and comparing them with project documentation. The work is divided into 2 parts, theoretical and practical part.
The theoretical part presents and explains the basic term concerning forest roads, the construction of forest roads, and at the same time presents the terms earth structures, earthwork and embankment slope, earth moving and describes the machines designed for earth moving.
In the practical part, two project documentations are presented, details of which I compared with the actual dimensions of 3 earthworks. From the measured data I found a number of derogations from the project documentation. It was a change of inclination, or construction of a new drainage channel.

Analysis of the financial funds drawing to improve of the forestry infrastructure

In the program period 2007-2013 the area of forestry subsidies is divided into several operations. Operation of financing the forest roads is socially the most beneficial one and therefore I decided to perform analysis of subsidies money from EU funds so that in the next period the finances could be distributed in better and more efficiently way. The starting point of the research is analysis of documents and data provided by SZIF, ÚHUL and published on the internet PRV 07-13 under operation 1.1.2.3 Forest infrastructure. The result is a synthesis of data in numerical and graphical form about the size of investments per hectare PUPFL and m LDS in every NUTS 2 region for all rounds income subsidies.

Application of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in forest management in Czech Republic

This bachelor´s thesis is devoted on methods of collecting data in forestry with using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). Briefly describes the methods of control and navigation of UAV. It gives a description of the basic structure types of UAVs, which are in use nowadays. It evaluates used types of UAVs as carriers of data collecting sensors and evaluate their suitability. It describes data collecting technologies such as remote sensing or technologies currently related with UAVs. It also discusses the legislation for using unmanned aerial vehicles in Czech republic, conditions of their operation and use of the aerial data. It describes the current situation of specific use these technique in forestry. At the end of the thesis, it outlines the direction that would these technologies follow up in future.

The accuracy of GNSS devices depended on the stnand

The thesis discusses the navigation systems mainly in forestry. The first part describes the GPS and GLONASS, which is used in the work. By using the navigation device Garmin GPSMAP 64 has been measured 30 points in a leafy vegetation, evergreen vegetation and open space. The methodology is described in detail as the measurement procedure and subsequent results at individual stations. Furthermore, the work deals with the difference between the GPS and GLONASS and accuracy while measuring. The aim is to determine the degree of accuracy and the use of instruments in forestry.

Possibilities of using standard diagnostic methods on roadways of forest roads

Pavement management systems have a great impact on the life cycle of roads and on the costs associated with their maintenance and repairs. Timely and effective diagnostics of pavement condition and subsequent selection of optimal repair method and technology significantly extends pavement life and optimizes the use of funds spent on maintenance and repairs.
The thesis focuses on diagnostics as a set of activities and objective methods needed to assess the condition of pavement and to determine the causes of defects.

Bridges used on forest roads

The objective of this thesis is to describe the individual types of bridges currently used on forest dirt roads from the point of view of design, maintenance and construction.
The thesis is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part explains the basic terms regarding the design, construction and maintenance of the bridges. It also explains the expressions and procedures connected with the reconstruction of such constructions and with the area of modern technologies used for reconstructing such bridges from the point of view
of material composition and working procedures.
The practical part presents two selected model networks
of territories in the area of the Forestry Facility in Kostelec nad Černými lesy, owned by the Czech University
of Life Sciences in Prague, and in the area of Krkonoše National Park. Several selected bridge structures are presented and the part also includes a catalogue of bridges located in these areas. In addition, different bridge designs used in these areas are compared.
