Resumé (Summary) The Legal Regulation of Lottery and Another Similar Games I have chosen the topic of my diploma thesis - "The Legal Regulation of Lottery and Another Similar Games", because the issue of gaming industry is very often discussed, especially in the latest years because of the need for new legal regulation. I have wanted to make a research within the area of actual legal regulation and the new legal proposals as well. The first part of the thesis is focused on the history of gaming industry and its actual state in our country. The stakes and lottery have already been accompanying the mankind for several millennia. These activities are very popular despite their dangerous effects and possibility of addiction. The Czech Republic is occupying the first position in the world as to the number of gambling houses counted on the number of inhabitants. The gambling houses are easily accessible in our country and therefore there is high occurrence of the psychological dependence and mental disorders (gambling). The health therapy is then sponsored by the state budget. The second part is focused on the Czech legal regulation of the gambling law.
