Concept of disease in patients with leukemia

The theoretical part first deals with the anatomy and physiology of blood, then the various types of leukemia, nursing care of patients with leukemia, the psychological approach to patients with leukemia and the patient's conception of the disease. The empirical part is based on a quantitative research survey, which was conducted through an abbreviated Czech version of the IPQ-R-CZ questionnaire supplemented by demographic data of respondents and possible causes of the disease. The study sample consists of patients with a diagnosis of leukemia.
The nursing profession through the eyes of a child

Work verified diagnostic possibilities of children's kinetic artwork while recognizing how children see and assess nurse profession. Test group consisted of 60 children between 8 and 10 years. Children's drawings were supplemented by interviews with children about their drawing. Following key aspects were used for drawings analysis: the look of nurses, the look of child and surgery environment. The results show that children have a clear idea about the nurse profession, what nurse job represents and what clothes they wear at work. Children describe nurses and their profession mostly positive.

Quantitative research was used to examine the quality of the patients' lives. The theoretical part of this essay deals with the lymphatic system, especially its anatomy, followed by the specifics of the Hodgkin's Lymfoma. A part of this essay was dedicated to patients' nursing care. A separate chapter is focused on the patients' quality of life. The contents of the chapters in the theoretical part is the basis of the implemented research. The quality of life of 40 patients was investigated in the research part. The respondents suffered Hodgkin's lymphoma. The quality of life was examined using questionnaires. We can say that the treatment is evaluated favorably by patients.
