Determining the compression behaviour of microcrystalline cellulose and calcium stearate
Brožová, Irena ; Řehula, Milan (advisor) ; Adámek, Roman (referee)
70 ABSTRACT This graduation theses deals with characterization of microcrystalline cellulose mixed with a lubricant, calcium stearate, by force-distance record and tablet relaxation . The theoretical part concerns with compaction process, energy parameters of force-distance record, classification and characterization of farmaceutical materials used in tablet production. The aim of experimental part was evaluation of compaction process and measuring of energy parameters. The force-distance record was obtain during the compaction process. The influence of compaction pressure and calcium stearate concentration in relation to compaction energy and tablet relaxation was observed. The result of this work was determination of the relationship of compaction pressure and calcium stearate concentration in relation to compaction energy and tablet relaxation. In some cases was observed a linearity characterized by an appropriate equation.
Effect of calcium stearate on the compressibility of microcrystalline cellulose
Brožová, Irena ; Šklubalová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Mužíková, Jitka (referee)
This thesis is aimed on the influence of lubricant, calcium stearate mixed with microcrystalline cellulose, on compression process and kinetics of crushing tablets. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the distribution and characterization of excipients and active substances, and especially their influence on the elastic recoil, the compression process and parameters of the compression were described furthermore. The experimental part of this work evaluates the compression process and the kinetics of crushing of pressed tablets made of microcrystalline celulose and calcium stearate. The influence of the concentration of calcium stearate and the compression pressure on each phase of compression process and the kinetics of crushing of pressed tablets was mainly observed. The result of this work was the determination of the dependence of compression pressure and the concentration of calcium stearate on the phases of compression process, energetic parameters and tensile strength. In some cases a statistically significant difference was found out.

DP 1 - Vývoj a aplikace nových měřicích metod. DP 2 - Inovace a doplnění souboru modelů pro rozptylové studie dle direktiv EU a zákona, DP 3 - Vývoj a aplikace Eulerovského modelu.
