Dramatically Higher Sensitization to Outdoor Plant Allergens in Czech than in Ukrainian Atopic Patients

Inherited predisposition to hyperproduction of IgE against common environmental allergens. It is a major risk factor for clinical expression of allergic diseases.The prevalence of atopic disorders is rising worldwide, but the reason for this is unknown. Moreover, the allergens triggering and supporting the development of atopy vary in different areas. The reason for this most likely includes diversity of allergens prevalence in different environment. Therefore, determination of major allergens is important when performing diagnostic testing and selecting immunotherapy. It also could provide important clues to the etiology of atopic disorders in a certain geographical area.
