Biomass modification for energy use
Rieger, Lukáš ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
RIEGER Lukáš: Biomass modification for energy use The main contents of the theses completed in the bachelor's programme of the field B-EPE is to make a summary of various methods and principles used for treatment of biomass, based on literature studies. Emphasis is put on the possibility of a subsequent use of the energy of a thus created organic. Considering that each of the methods used gives rise to products of varying characteristics depending on both the presentation and the type of the original biomass, an analysis of several types of solid biofuels (pellets and briquettes made of different materials by different manufacturers), which evokes an image of the diversity of the fundamental characteristics of the products made from modified biomass.
Solar heating tap water
Flöhsler, Tomáš ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this BA Thesis is to design a fully operational system for heating hot tap water and devise economical part of the project. The design includes correct specification of solar collector size with reference to the most effective collector turning angle. In addition to that, the Thesis focuses on evaluating the economic return, service life and future usage. It is also necessary to include operation of the device and running costs of components needed for the smooth operation of this system. The solar system design is intended for a single family house in Rousínov, Vyškov District, South Moravian Region. The Thesis was written with the contribution of the companies which are specialists in this field.
Solar heating tap water
Kracík, Petr ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the heating of hot service water by means of solar energy through solar collectors. At the beginning the author describes the most frequent methods for heating of service water in Czech houses with the help of electrical energy, fossil fuel, gas and central heat supply, including the input expenses for buying equipment. The author describes a solar system and his basic elements and suggests two variants with supplement heating by means of electrical energy, which compares with electrical heating of service water. The overall thesis is conceived as a review of possibilities of heating hot service water in households with economical budget at the end of the work.
Biomass biolers
Maar, Tomáš ; Moskalík, Jiří (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deal with a biomass boilers. In the first part of this thesis is discribed biomass like a fuel for a boilers. Second part shortly discribes a combustion proces and possible construction these device. Main thing in this thesis is calculations a exchanger and with it nessesery calculations quantiti of air, produkt of combustion, enthalpy, calculations heat transfer surface and suggestion exchange.
Alternative pellets production
Janíček, Jakub ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis contains a review of possible technologies for the production of pellets and briquettes. Emphasis is placed on technology for the treatment of biomass for further use. Easy to biomass use is subject to the homogenization and adjusting to the wood chips, pellets or briquettes. The final part of thesis is concerned with energy and economic balance of a specific production line pellets.
Waste heat use from incinerator hazardous waste
Štefánek, Stanislav ; Bogdálek, Jan (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor work is about using of waste. It´s oriented on using and processing dangerous waste. Working datas were given from incinerator Ekotermex. From offered parameters can find out with calculation quantity of frustrated heat in the condenser and suggest his using.
Photovoltaic, as an alternative source of electricity
Floková, Kateřina ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this work is to provide a description and an explanation of the process of obtaining elektrical energy from solar radiation. There is preliminary mentioned an importance of producing electrical energy from renewable sources and development of photovoltaic systems. The body of the thesis is divided into seven chapters. At first, there is described the principle of transformation solar radiation into electrical energy. Then, the description of types of barrier-layer photocells follows. The types are divided according to their structure and material, which are they produced from. The third chapture is focused on production and construction of photovoltaic modules. Ways, how can be production of electricity increased, are mentioned in the fourth chapture. Advantages and disadvantages of solar concentrators are given there. In the fifth chapture there are described two basic kinds of connection of photovoltaic system. Different ways of taking-off produced electricity are related with those kinds of connection. The last chapture is the fundamental chapture of the thesis. There is given a project of concrete photovoltaic system. For this system is calculated economic return of investment included supposed increase of prices of electricity. In conlusion the author noticed events that would be given and emphasized the outcome of concerete project of photovoltaic system.
Domestic heat pumps
Housírek, Jiří ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The Bachelor´s thesis “Pump Heats for Heating Residential Buidings“ is divided into three parts. The first part explains the principle of pump heads, characterizes individual parts, describes interconnected relations, analyses theoretical diagram of the Carnot Cycle and division of pump heads according to sources of getting heat. The second part deals with particular type of heat consumption – water – which should be suggested for chosen residential building. Then follows a brief description of a chosen object, principal parameters of the object and interconnected summary of calculating figures and particular calculation of energetic demand of the building. The third part deals with economic analysis of a chosen system of heating and its financial return (return on investment) when two systems of heating are compared. The first one uses only gas boiler and the second one heat pump. The conclusion gives a particular evaluation of advantage of a suggested solution.
The Primary Air Power Heat Substitution on Biofluid 100
Čukat, Stanislav ; Moskalík, Jiří (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
Initial section of this paper discusses the basic classification of exchangers and general principles and laws of heat exchange. Second section outlines the individual types of heat exchangers, used predominantly in the power industry. The final section of the paper offers a design proposal for heat exchangers for primary air heating by waste gas energy, generated by stand Biofluid 100.
Small biomass boilers
Dufek, Adam ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
From the point of view of lower acquitition costs tangential tanks for biomass combustion have become a modern trend for both large buildnigs, halls and houses heating.
