BARTUŠKOVÁ, Jana
This bachelor thesis describes professional cooperation in the care of mother and child in hospitalization after childbirth. The theoretical part describes the work of non-medical medical staff in the care of mother and newborn in the delivery room, the work of non-medical medical staff in the care of mother and newborn in the ward and physiological newborns, the role of a nurse in the care of physiological newborns at the neonatology department and professional cooperation of medical staff in departments. Two objectives were set in the research survey. The first goal was to map the area of cooperation of nursing staff for mother and child within the delivery room. The second goal was to map the area of cooperation between nursing staff for mother and child in the ward. Two research questions have been identified for these purposes. The first research question examines in which areas the cooperation of nursing staff for mother and child within the delivery room is. The second question examines in which areas there is cooperation between nursing staff for mother and child in the ward. The research was carried out using a qualitative strategy using methods of questioning and in-depth interviews. The research group consisted of 12 women working in the České Budějovice hospital. Six respondents are employed in the department as midwives (they are marked with the letter R in the work) and another six respondents work as a child nurse (they are marked with the letter D in the work). All respondents were acquainted with the topic of the bachelor's thesis and were notified of anonymity in the research survey. The main categories of this bachelor's thesis are: Interpersonal relationships within the delivery room, where respondents evaluate mutual relationships. The second category analyzes the cooperation within the delivery room, where we dealt with the areas of cooperation and we were also interested in what are the problem areas within this cooperation. The third category examines communication within the delivery room. In this category, we find out how midwives and nurses evaluate the quality of communication, how they pass on information at a given workplace and what is the quality of the information communicated. The fourth category is called: Further cooperation of medical staff within the delivery room, in which the first part is devoted to the gynecology and obstetrics department and the second part to the cooperating staff of the neonatology department. The fifth category deals with interpersonal relationships in the care of women and children after childbirth in the ward and the physiological newborn station. The sixth category is called Cooperation in the care of women and children after childbirth, where we found out in which areas there is cooperation and its possible problems. The seventh category analyzes communication in the care of a woman and a child after childbirth. Here we deal with the quality of communication, the form of information transfer and their quality. The last eighth category examines with whom others midwives and nurses must cooperate in the care of women and children after childbirth in terms of gynecological, obstetric and neonatology. The qualitative research confirmed the mutual cooperation between the examined departments. It also confirmed how important is communication in nursing care, because without mutual communication there would be no cooperation and thus no providing of quality nursing care.
